Since 2012 I’ve been traveling through various islands of the Philippines as a full-time Expat and spent 1999 living in Vietnam.

Share with me my ongoing adventures of life in the Philippines. Hopefully you find my observations helpful in your own adventures.

  1. Have to. Disagree with condo living. I own my home and although it requires further costs in maintenance, I would never consider a condo. Just look at the disaster going on in Florida-Insurance and deferred maitenance going thru the roof, retired persons thinking they were all tucked away to enjoy the good life are being assessed thousands of dollars and HOA fees constantly being raised. Condo living not in my future.

  2. Sorry to disagree, I’m not a fan of this housing idea. Condo fees only increase plus there are assessments for worn out common areas. Then there are upgrades owners can without your approval that may cost you up front plus future maintenance. If you are hellbent on a condo find the best attorney available to study the documents inside and out before signing anything!
