  2. Wishful thinking. Expatriation like during the old normal IS OVER. Many of you need to reconcile this and quit wasting your time on a dream that has died. SEA won’t be opening to mass tourism or ANY kind of long term living for a DECADE.
I know you’re even more desperate to escape the Hell and Insanity of America and Europe but you can forget about it. Suck it up buttercups because these SEA Countries are gonna need HUGE money when they open so they like Vietnam, will revert to high dollar short term tourism, not long term cheap expat accommodation.
The days of “retirement” or escape to SEA AGAIN – EXPAT IS OVER. Move on…..

  3. End of term, I think is in June of 2022, I just researched it. I did read somewhere, Philippines suppose to get 50 million vaccine shots by end of September. They are pushing the vaccine hard.

  4. Buen video señor Enrique. Saludos desde España. Esperando para entrar a Dumaguete. Cuando?

  5. It’s a popular thing to say when your election is coming up, They always say don’t let a catastrophe go to waste

  6. Sweden is one of the only countries that got this whole mess right, the lockdown/restrictions did very little if anything at all to protect anybody from this respiratory virus. So, I expect countries like the Philippines to continue with their lockdowns/restrictions/closed border until that mental case is out of office and we would have to get lucky with the next one.

  7. Aloha can you do a video on what is the process when a philpino dies in the hospital
The hospital bill do hospital s make payment arraignments
The 2 nd half is does the ph hospital hold the body untill the hospital billl is paid
3rd how much for a funeral in Philippines
I have never seen a blogger do a video on this subject
    Your reply is greatly appreciated
Your the most sound human being i know
You help me see things better.
Thank you.god bless good luck keep rolling ken

  8. Hi Rekay, sorry but I don’t see the Philippines opening up to foreign tourists until late 2022 or early 2023. They will need that amount of time to vaccinate the country to the point of herd immunity and allow businesses to get back to a normal working capacity. I hate to wish my life away but 2023 cannot come soon enough!

  9. This virus is here to stay. Even for fully vaccinated people. Everyone in the world will get the virus over the next few years. That is what the experts are now saying. But the vaccinated people will be better off and have lighter cases. Get the vaccine!! I took Sinovac
    …im Happy I did !!

  10. Does this mean that American’s can not come into the Philippines yet? Are borders cut off for Foreign travel

  11. I want them to open up the Philippines already. Ugh. I can’t see my girlfriend (for the first time) in the nearly three years I’ve known her.

  12. Covid isn’t going anywhere and they’ll keep fighting it their way that absolutely don’t work.

  13. After all this not many care about the Philippines anymore all the corruption during this pandemic.

  14. Unless they can get a handle on allowing fully vaccinated travelers into the PH I don’t see how any of this is happening at all. It’s definitely not happening this year. If you’re an SRRV Holder you can enter with a 7 to 10 day Hotel quarantine which applies even if you’re vaccinated. The few who can enter have to pre-book a quarantine hotel and get tested on the 7th day. I live here no in Cebu and there’s no dine-in and there’s a curfew. You can’t go anywhere except the mall.

  15. Politics they learn from USA
Start something else to take away focus on what reaĺy goin on

  16. Politicians will do whatever is Best for them to stay in Power…Period.
Look at the US, they just abandoned thousands of American Citizens, trusted Afghans and even left the Military Dogs to be murdered by the Taliban. Philippines is no different, they will hold onto Power until they are forced out. Scientifically speaking, dead people don’t need vaccines and if they stayed closed the economy will not recover and thousands will starve to death.

  17. He said he wanted the Philippines to be back to normal by Christmas of last year. Predictions are not possible. Could be next year, could be 10 yeas from now. It’s just wait and see now.

  18. Hello Henry and glad you are doing well. I remember in one of his speeches to his Filipinos that he wanted the Philippines businesses to be fully opened up by this Christmas but he has changed his mind on everything! This is a man that CANNOT be trusted on his word nor his actions! If Sarah Duterte becomes President and he gets to be VP, ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE!

  19. I would like to see that globalist POS NOT get reelected and get impeached for his crimes against the Philippine people. Look how many lives he’s ruined with locking down people from coming and going to the Philippines.

  20. It ain’t happening no time soon. It’ll take a different adm for things to open. Thanks friend.

  21. Duterte has lied so much, he may be trying to do this because he is afraid of losing to Manny Pacquiao.

  22. Travelling to Philippines specifically is too costly and troublesome at this time compare to other countries. There are so many miscellaneous charges by government. Good time for them to make money out of people to cover their incapabilities. In last past 5 years he has done nothing but destroying economy and murder. But anyways that is their country . Let it be. People deserve what they deserve at the end of the day.

  23. Word of Advice to all commentators:
STOP guessing when the Philippines will FULLY open to international tourism .. you’ll save yourself A LOT of frustration

  24. I disagree with you Reekay. I feel 100% reopening means everything is open for everyone, but I believe masks will still be required for a long time to come. Also, it says “last 10 months of his term” so it should happen by JULY 2020. Thanks!

  25. “Duterte says” are words with ZERO meaning. In January, he said he’s opening the country “within a few weeks”. Countless other grand proclamations he’s made have never come to pass. He is hollow populist who says one thing and does another. Filipinos don’t seem to care as long as he’s telling them what they want to hear. Reopening to tourism will not happen this year. Probably not early next year either. Mid to later 2022 – hopefully.

  26. So, hold on. You’re saying you don’t believe tourists will be allowed in until end of 2022?

  27. Often he says this but does another, that’s how inconsistent this man is. A wicked leader.

  28. Instead of “following the science” we have to follow the political winds…sad.

  29. Reekay I will believe it when I see it, I believe it is just a distraction to keep the heat off of them. My fiance says she doesn’t think the Philippines will Fully open until after May 2022. I strongly agree.

  30. With the shut downs, high unemployment & slow economy during COVID do Filipinos have enough disposable income to revive the economy with travel & tourism?

  31. Reekay I’d get excited about this except for the fact that Duterte has made dozens of statements and alot of times they’re either just him letting his mouth do the talking and not actually thinking about what he says. Id not trust that under the idea it would allow tourists to come back

  32. Great video Reekey! I don’t see all the businesses opening back up, because of the pandemic, I don’t think alot of them can afford to open back up, I think some business will wait until the borders open back up, my thoughts are things with never bee the same again.

  33. Yes no one really knows when it’s going to open to tourists. Plus, the Philippines may require a visa to be required ahead of time. Certainly they are working on the visitor visa to be acquired online…i would think. I wonder if other SE Asia countries issue tourists visa’s online?

  34. Fully vaxed is going up 2-3% per week so it possible to reach 70-80% by March-April 2022, that’s herd immunity, so why not open to fully vaccinated tourists?

  35. That’s what it means. I think common sense leads to this conclusion. What else could be 100 % re-opened? There’s nothing else closed, to my knowledge.
