I remember a Philippino I worked with on Guam. His family went to his Philippina wife’s villiage for vacation. When he returned he told me “now I know where my paychecks go”. His wife controlled the family money. And kept the husband on a meager budget. Typical arrangement, apparently. About 30% of Guam is Pinoy
