My wife`s nephew lives in Deca home 5 area in Basak. We have been searching a house and a lot in the same Basak area. Seems not so crowded as other parts in Lapu-Lapu, I think! You had a nice yard which is a plus there!
Yes, there is still some open area left in the Basak section. Over in Lapu Lapu, near the marketplace it’s pretty much filled up. The northern end (Maribago area) is mostly resorts to the east side and industry/airport to the west side. You may want to at least check out the southeast side, over by Cordova. Amazing view of the sunset each day from that southern end of the island, and lots of open space still available. No major malls there though, would have to go about 2 miles to Basak, at the Grand Mall.. or 4 miles to the Island Mall near the airport.
