Since 2012 I’ve been traveling through various islands of the Philippines as a full-time Expat and spent 1999 living in Vietnam.
Share with me my ongoing adventures of life in the Philippines. Hopefully you find my observations helpful in your own adventures.

Wow just seen you stayed here. Im off to Bohol in 4 weeks. Been a subscriber for awhile now. Going to binge on your vids. Thanks for info.
When I was younger, say 10 or 12 years old, for 25 cents we would take a bus to Newport Beach, to fish and hang around. I will miss those days as I prepare for life in the Philippines.
I was off Palawan at a small island they had warning signs box jelly fish ,sea erchin stone fish which are deadly I forget the fourth don’t walk in the seaweed like you said Reekay
What happened to your hair bro?
David Letterman would ask people during his interviews, “did you see or touch any monkeys today?” lol I’m looking to get my ducks in a row over the next year or so and will be in the Philippines hopefully as a retiree, can’t wait to be living in a more relaxed slower-paced part of the world.
One thing Henry that I can vouch for is that our Florida East Coast beaches are way better than the ones by California! You will enter the warm waters (about 80 to 90 degrees fahrenheit) plus be able to see all the way to the sand in 4 or 5 feet of water. This happens in several places in Miami Beach and Ft. Lauderdale beaches.
Yes, sometimes we here have beds of seaweed that will block the views but you can swim around them. Now in comparison to the west coast of Florida, their beaches totally suck! I have been there several times so I know for a fact. I believe this happens because on the East coast, the waves come from East to West and constantly circulate the sand and the beach shores, giving it a refreshing and clear look. While on the West coast of Florida and California, the water does not travel from East to West and instead, it gets circulated and “stuck” within its area.
Great video from the past though!
Hope we all will be able to come back to the Philippines as before. So sad that they are so afraid there to get covid or something. We will all die at some point in time. It’s pointless to put lives on hold because of fear
Reekay, what about sharks? 🙂
The beach life has an appeal to me
Very interseting topic. Philippines is known for marine wild life, but not land-based wild life is not that popular, in my opinion.
I had almost forgot how interesting these videos were, so many years ago.
Monkey’s are A- holes and will give you a nasty bite. But each to his own.
In one of Ned (Philippine Dreams) had a small cobra in his car port on one of his older videos.
Though I have lived awhile here on Panay Island I never been to Boracay but have been to Gigantes (they have monkeys that will steal if yur not careful) Alona Beach as u well know VERY nice in Bohol as well….
