Since 2012 I’ve been traveling through various islands of the Philippines as a full-time Expat and spent 1999 living in Vietnam.

Share with me my ongoing adventures of life in the Philippines. Hopefully you find my observations helpful in your own adventures.

  2. Referencing your previous video, did you work at Guidant in Temecula? I didn’t but had neighbors who did in my Murrieta neighborhood. If you did you were very lucky not to have to commute to LA, OC, or SD

  3. I must admit i am impressed by how you narrate and give the particulars with humor to your Philippine journey and with very common sense and also what to look for…And what to look out for and about to not get taken or hurt. I also like that you did not promote or just go for most of the common “easy” places and cities [Like say “Angeles City!] that are rife with crime and other bad elements. I think you have helped many men here..And those problems that lurk to pass over the mistakes and bad events that have ruined too many men in-country. Thank You.Peace

  4. Thanks for sharing Reekay, I’m soon to follow in your footsteps. It’s a life changing thing to step into a grand adventure like that!

  5. Gosh. Couple months turns into four years. That was quite a commitment considering he didn’t deserve it.

  6. Thanks my friend, great video as usual, can’t wait one day to write a new chapter in my life in the Philippines

  7. I hope you write a book one day. You have so much great info and entertaining stories to share. Happy new year!

  8. Reekay,
I am going to play the devil’s advocate here.
Your ex-fiancé might have a reason why she took care of her husband.
    Who knows what.
I don’t doubt that she cared and loved you.
But there was this strange bond between her and her husband.
A husband, that, as you mentioned, for 12 years, cheated and stole a lot of money from her.
Because, considering, she is rich, she could have hired a lot of private nurses and nursing aides to make sure her husband was well taken care for.
She does not need to be with him 24/7.
She could visit him anytime she wanted.
There is an old saying in tagalog,
“Kung gusto mu talagang gawin, gagawin mo, o gagagwa ka nang paraan para magawa mo.
Kung ayaw mong gawin, lagi kang may rason, para hindi mo gawin.”
Basically, it means, if you want to do something, you will do everything you can to do it or accomplish it, but if you don’t want to do something, you will always make or find excuses not to do it.
But the past is the past.
    Happy New Year!!
