A wise thing to do is to drive slow especially in small towns with children and dogs running out on the road anytime. Kinburn Ontario Canada.. stay safe..
I’m an experience Motorcycle rider (I’ve been riding since my 20’s. I’m late 50’s now and still own a 750cc Bike)
But I’m still on the fence about riding in the Philippines.
Why? because a large portion of drivers (both Cars and Bikes/Scooters) don’t follow the rules in the Philippines. Like what Reekay mentioned, they don’t need to pass a driving course to get their License.
Although a LOT of Filipinos ride without a Helmet, If you’re stupid enough to ride without a Helmet, then you might as well be dead.
I’ve been in many accidents, but I would NEVER ride without proper clothing. If you’re riding with a T-Shirt and Shorts, if you crash, most likely you will have fatal burns all over your body which you will have all your life.
I would NEVER ride at least with a Leather Jacket, and Pants, even in an HOT environment like the Philippines.
Philippines is a perfect example of why IQ testing should be mandatory for driving licenses. I would say that an IQ above that of a tomato should be the requirement in Philippines.
