Since 2012 I’ve been traveling through various islands of the Philippines as a full-time Expat and spent 1999 living in Vietnam.

Share with me my ongoing adventures of life in the Philippines. Hopefully you find my observations helpful in your own adventures.

  1. These guys spell out exactly how they do it and what to expect so reekay if you reference these budget vids put “what you can can’t” expect” into context. For ei. Regarding enjoyment it’s different strokes for different folks. Also, I’d say having a partner makes things cheaper rather than more pricey. Consider this: dude has only 700/m will he live better in USA or in Baguio? Nobody recommends this budget but some guys want phils and have little to work with so the “you can exist” stigma is redundant bcuz you could only exist on that at home as well.

  2. $700 here in Philippines is too much for a month. Before I lived with my wife, we are budgeting roughly $300 – $400 per month. I have my father and mother with me in the house. Healthcare here is somewhat good and has a cheap government help. I hope this helps
