  2. I used to live in the Philippines for straight 7 years and for the next 15 years I travelled 3 times a year there except covid time that I went once . But by now I really prefer to live in thailand than Philippines. Everything getting worse in the Philippines. The prices sky rocketing and 30 to 40 % higher in the Philippines the only advantages in the Philippines is that they speak english. That’s it. I guess I can come with a solution with it in thailand. anyways. One crazy president goes the other crazy come. But corruption and stupidity remains.

  3. thanks very much for keeping us updated Reekay .. im heading to the manila and Puerto Galera areas for 5 weeks late next month so going to have to do this bs .. have no idea what those documents are though that they list lol

  4. If this is the way its going to be then i might as well pay $180 a month for international roaming on my home cell plan and have the convenience. I understand They’re trying to stop fraud, but the rules are becoming assanine.

  5. I’ve seen nothing about mandatory SIM card reg for foreigners in flipflopland except from you, Reekay.
Surely telecom companies and gov should inform people. But I’ve seen no such messages.
Do Filipinos need to register SIM cards? Is reg online and/or at telecom offices?
How will companies or gov know who is using a SIM if it’s not registered?

  6. I guess that’s an added benefit to the 6 month visa extension now, unless of course they decide to riff your Sim card every 30 days anyway.

“To err is human… to really FUBAR things requires government”.

  7. Man, it’s like they stay up late trying to come up with ideas of how to make simple things difficult !! LUDICROUS !!!!! Every 30 days you might have to get a new sim card ! This applying for an extension is going to be a train wreck, people are going to be walking around with no cell service until they get around to actually give the approval, and then how long after the approval until they get around to actually reactivating the card !

  8. Why is this government making everything so difficult. Especially the travel restrictions still. I’m coming in May.
