  1. Hi , thanks for taking the time to explain how, and what need to look out for.
I found your YouTube site my searching
    philippines girls
    I’m based in the UK

  2. I agree with you 1000%. All the years I lived in the RP, that was my goal. For leave any girl i was involved with better off than she was when I met her.

I never considered living with a girl. One reason was to avoid the unpleasantness associated with breaking up and moving out. Another reason was. . . Well, why complicate my life for no reason, other than for a cheap maid. I paid my full time, live in maid $20 per month, and I didn’t get any attitude, ever.

When I wanted to be alone, I was alone. When I wanted my girlfriend present, I gave her a call.

  3. Really enjoy the podcasts as I can listen on the go . Wish there were more and more often ….

  4. Reekay,
I’m really glad to find your site years ago. Everything I’ve read on you site is right on the money. I have been there in all the situations you have talked about over the last 9 years. I learned the hard way but, you keep doing what your doing, I’ll keep reading your observations
and will look forward to what is next.
I’m relocating to Bogo, Cebu. We’ll have to get together some time.

    1. Thanks Rekay, so far I’ve only visited Cebu Philippines, for about 6 weeks at a time,( eigth time now) and the thought of meeting and living with the right Filippina, is still appealing. However, on my previous trips, I remained a distant observer, and had listened to some of the horror stories of Ex-pats, being primed as suckers, by predatory young women, who know how to play the game, and manipulate to get their own way. Because I remained aloof, these women seemed to sense, that I would be no easy push over, and I was weary of them, so very few approached me. On the other hand I’d met one or two unscrupulous ex pats, who had exploited, those who may have been innocent well meaning Filippinas, just wanting to do the right thing by a man. Yes they do exist. ..but dishonesty and exploitation seems to work both ways.
I’m not surprised that, I still share the common dream of retiring in Philippines and also making my dollars stretch further. However your advice, is undoubtedly, exactly what I had observed. You are right on the money, with so may things. Its sage advice for a guy to, look around first, wait a while then, proceed with caution….as once someone has moved into your castle,…it can be very difficult to move them out again…..so always draw the ground rules first….let the girl know…if she steels,..or cheats…shes out..but if shes honest and remains so….she will have money in her pocket, good food on the table ,..and a review of how things are going…after a time.

man you just hit the nail on the head… so I just started chatted with a gal and already professed her love… so should I just leave it alone? my thought is if she is professing love then it will get crazy fast… jealousy, possessive, etc…

    1. if you’re curious, just gloss over it and see how it goes. but if she presses for you to say that you love her, explain to her that you’ve not even met in person yet. if she can’t wrap her mind around that and gets offended, she’s too immature to deal with.

  6. Your thoughts have reinforced my own, with regard to fair treatment. It really comes down to common sense and decency. For example, if the woman has quit her job or put her education on hold, and you’ve been supporting her, it’s only decent to provide for her enough that she has time to get her life back in as much order as it was before she moved in.

If you’re not able or willing to do that, then it’s very selfish to put her in that situation, even if it was her choice or her gamble.
