  2. One thing for me that I have noticed to shoo away the scammers is to tell her you have been to the Philippines before. They will stop talking to you right then and there, they prob only want the naive unlearned simp

  3. These apply to dating on or offline. If you’re a basket case, you’ll suffer and so will those you interact with in any potential relationship. It has nothing to do with dating sites, it’s all about the person.

In a country like mine that’s more than half of the population are considered poor, it is difficult life especially when you are married with kids and your husband abandoned you for another woman. Laws are there but most never implemented to force the husband to provide support for the family he abandoned. The options of some of these women is to find a “foreigner” to help them. Also getting an annulment is not within the reach of ordinary pinay. It is so expensive. I know, I did and spent 4k USD back in 2010. I can’t imagine how much it would cost now after 13 years.

  5. Dating sites work much better for those who are already in Southeast Asia or who have a PLAN IN PLACE to come to Southeast Asia.

    It wouldn’t hurt also to mention on your dating profile that you have plans to travel to the Philippines in the near future.

    This is exactly what I did.

    Dating sites can work as long as you use COMMON SENSE!

    FIRST and foremost…

    DO NOT SEND ANY WOMAN MONEY!!!

    As far as I’m concerned, a woman who you have yet to meet is NOT YOUR GIRLFRIEND. She is merely a chat-mate.
    Again, this is my opinion as some people would disagree with that sentiment.
    To each their own.

    I’m age 47 but I could pass for 37.
    I started talking to a 24 year old baddie online AFTER I had a plan in place to come to the Philippines.
    After talking for 2 months I came here to see her.

    I finally arrived in the Philippines and we met up the following day.
    It wasn’t until I actually made physical contact with her, meaning held her hand and kissed her that I made things official and told her that she was now my girlfriend.

    Then and ONLY THEN was the FIRST time that I ever told her that I loved her.
    She had told me that she loved me MULTIPLE times during our chats before we actually met but I refused to say it back until she was actually in my arms.

    I wanted to be able to read her body language first (to see if she really liked/loved me) before I decided to give her the girlfriend tag.

    I presented her with flowers (which she actually cried upon receiving) as a gift for us now being an official couple.

    It wasn’t until AFTER we actually had sex that I offered her any money.

    I gave her a used iPhone 12 Pro Max as a graduation present and she was ecstatic.
    The iPhone 15 will be releasing this year so the phone that I gave her is technically 3 generations old and I had initially planned to sell it because I no longer have a use for it.
    Again, she was over the moon and referred to it as the “best graduation present ever!”

    I also gave her 7000 Pesos ($124) to pay her cousin back (who loaned her money to pay her tuition).
    So we aren’t talking about a bank breaking sum of money here, at least not from a foreigner standpoint.

    Personally, I refuse to share my RESOURCES with any woman who isn’t sharing her BODY with me but to each their own.

    Because of the culture here (especially amongst the province women) most Fillipina’s are probably not going to have sex with you unless they really like you.
    Obviously this doesn’t apply to all of them as some of them are scammers and will have sex with you until they can convince you to completely empty out your entire bank account if you are stupid enough to do so.
    This is why you have to read their body language and behavior to see if they are genuine or not.

    Most of these foreigners actually scam themselves when you really think about it.

A great show your very sharp I went on Asia date singed up for a year immediately started talking with six different women the next week it was two then one this process took 3 weeks total then I packed my bags and boarded the airplane and arrived in Philippines she was a OFW and arrived 2 week latter we lived together 2.5 years then married it now been 4 years here in bohol

  9. I have been in the Philippines for over a year and I’ve seen where girls are on dating sites getting phone money and grocery money from 5 guys. They use the face filters on their phone so you never know what you are getting. You might get lucky and find a good one but its a mine field of scammers. Dating sites usually only have 2″s, 3’s,4’s, and a rare 5. I’ve seen so many guys get wrapped up in girls from a dating site, then after they arrive they regret it completely not knowing they could of had far better had they waited until they came and saw it for themselves. Listen to Reekay. It’s the honest truth and good advice.

  17. Great presentation of how and what to do when scouting and choosing dating sites plus great tips to utilize.

    I met my wonderful Thai Fiance through Date in Asia (I know, I couldnt believe it still to this date) as many of us know that there are various scammers in many sites.

    The fact is that I went through several women (Filipinas, Thai, and Vietnamese) messaging them BUT one thing stood out from my Thai Fiance. The women who messaged me (and seemed interested) hardly responded or communicated in a fairly manner.
    My Thai Fiance, on the other hand with her fair knowledge of English, ALWAYS got back to me that day and added more messages to me on her own.

    What I’m trying to say is that she COMMUNICATED FREQUENTLY and STAYED INTERESTED in each conversation! This was very important to me as both of us were looking for a serious relstionship and CONTINUE the flow of learning more about each other.

  20. I was in Cebu 30 days (May-June 2023). I never used a Filipina dating site… No need to!! Within 7 days I meet over 8+ Filipina that were interested in dating. I would say 2-3 ladies were scammers. The rest wanted a meaningful relationship. Best Filipina dating advise is to travel to the PH…

  21. They really aren’t that hard to spot, if they lay it on too thick too quick than it’s a scammer. If they show time investment and don’t ask for money of course than you’re probably good. Remember if you’re the foreigner than you’re in a position of power……..not them.

  22. NO . I don’t agree with any dating sites cause you are at some point goin to have to go there to meet them or her. And if you dont well wats the point. BEST WAY IS TO GO THERE FRESH MEET GIRLS FACE TO FACE INSTEAD OF SPENDING LOTS OF MONEY ON SITES. MAYBE GETTING NOWHERE. BEST WAT TO BE SURE IS GO TO PHILIPPINES AND MEET PEOPLE FROM MY LONG EXPERIENCE OF GOIN THERE THATS THE BEST WAY THIS ONLINE NONSENSE. YOU ARE NOT THE ONLY ONE THERE CHATTING TO CANT BEAT BEING THERE IN PERSON MY OPINION ONLY

  25. Christian Filipina is a great site with overall great women. I found my wife there and feel it was the best decision I made in my life. I had been through years of online dating in America, and it is very different. My circle of Americans married to Filipina here in the states there is almost no divorce. Saying 80% are scammers is probably way too high. Good luck to anyone starting the best years of your life. If a girl finds you on facebook or something like that, I would be very leery as they might be hunting for a new victim. Also, look at the pictures carefully. If they are advertising the goods too much something is going on.

BTW, the Filipina Pea had a great video on this topic, including some excellent ideas to help weed out the scammers. “My favorite color is green. I’ll only read PM’s that have the word green in the subject line.” People who don’t take the time to read your bio won’t know that and thus a bunch of them are easy to block.

  30. From someone who made the mistake of going on foreign women dating sites and discovering how it is a waste of time, and then repeating the mistake, don’t do it. There is really no purpose in meeting someone on a dating site and long distance communication. I first visited the sites out of curiosity. The second go around I probably did it because I was lonely. As others have said, maybe use a dating site a week or 2 before you visit there. Otherwise, if you want to find a woman, work on a plan to visit and meet people in person. Even if you meet great woman, and you probably will, there is no future if you do not have a plan to visit or move there (in the near future). Also, I have caught these dating sites running there own scams. Many sites make you pay for a subscription if you want to respond to correspondence from a lady. The dating sites will have their own fake accounts or girls that work for them, that will message you for the purpose of getting you to pay.

  31. An excellent step by step guide that’s easy to follow. Unfortunately some guys who need the advice you offer won’t take it.
    I joined a site recommended on a vlogger’s channel as the ‘best’ site.Signed up for free began creating a profile paused to browse ladies.
    You cannot messsge till you pay the subscription.
    Provided email and cellphone details as part of the dign up. 30 minutes in got a call wanting to know which option I intended to take.
    I explained “let me complete my profile browse a few profiles make a list of ladies I’d be interested in talking to then I’ll choose my subscription.”
    Over the next week they bombarded me with calls texts and emails.
    With just a brief profile no photo I was getting 40 or 50 messsges (which I couldn’t read) a day. I felt like shark bait!
    I’m in the UK recently retired then I was a year away from visiting so I deleted my profile. I’m just over 2 months away from my trip plan to spend 2 or 3 months there.
    Maybe I’ll wait till I get there and try a dating site but to be honest I’m not looking to find a serious relationship till I decide if I can settle there.
    Even then I’ll take my time finding the right filipina sure being in my 60’s but in good shape the clock is against me but the way I see it is I hope to find someone to spend the rest of my time with. Investing time finding the right kind of woman isn’t a waste it’s a good investment.

  37. Number one: decide if you want to start texting with retards or not.

    Number two: go there first and see how many you find that are willing to actually get dressed and leave their house to meet you, rather than playing their stupid texting games.

  38. I knew a filipino girl which she told me that before she meet her husband her father did all the writing the letters. They are divorce today.

  39. I would like to live overseas. Where it’s cheaper than the USA. My problem is that my retirement is only $1,900.00 a month. There is no way I can afford to live in my own country.
