Reekay I agree with the 1 year comment (and that’s living together for 1 year not living apart and not seeing each other 7 days a week). 1 year means that you have seen them for all seasons and people’s persona can change depending on the season/time of year. More good advise from a wise one who has been there/done that and not just talking out of his fundamental orifice as sooooo many others vloggers do.

  4. I’ve been told by a friend who has lived in Davao City for over 15 years with wife and step kids to stay away from LDR’s. In his opinion LDR’s are no more then a LDC = “Long Distance Chatting”. I really wouldn’t call Reekay’s GF an LDR as they not only met in-person but have actually lived together for over a year. That in my opinion is a bonified relationship. A lot of these so called LDR guys have never even met the Filipina in-person but send her monthly income! That’s just crazy.

  5. No LDR here. Will be a monk for the first year in the Philippines. Want to focus on writing, hiking and relaxing. No drama!

  6. I am in an LDR and we have spent a month together. I am not ready to retire. Perhaps some day I will be able to live abroad. But for now, I am planning to eventually bring my girlfriend here on a K-1 visa and live with her for 2 months. I want to do a couple more trips to visit her abroad first. Before we get married we may have 5 months of total time living together.

  7. Im no expert but knew a few Colombian girls living in SFL so many yrs. & would take it real slow. Also wouldn’t call anyone g/f till I met her & would never bring her back to the chaos in the West. A Phils vlogger once said ” u can get what u want here but once u got it is it what u really want “. wisdom ? Lol
