Samal island a perfect place to whizz around on motor bike
Reekay’s LifeBeyondTheSea iv been going there since the early 1990s never had a problem. But yes these days things have changed so be on guard Yes!!! I know lots of people in samal I stay there near paradise beach in my ex gf place .very relaxing place
beautiful, yes. but best to keep your guard up and travel with a group there.
Where Angels fear to tread…
yah, that’s me. although i am trying to be a bit more cautious compared to my previous years.
Quiet and nice place …thanks for sharing
Great Video as usual. That greenery looks amazing.
Someday i will finally get to that country. It is on my list with Vietnam. Looks like you are having a great time. Making someone very jealous.
@Reekay’s LifeBeyondTheSea Thank You. Yes i have been very blessed to visit these places. Hopefully others will watch to see some of the areas few ever go.
you’ve seen some amazing off-the-beaten-path places in thailand. hoping to see more of that at your channel.
Henry you got to marry this girl man beautiful great family not a gold digger what more do you need
her parents are good people. we spent the afternoon with them today at the mall. the dad stopped at a phone place to have his phone repaired. he paid for that himself and did not even think to ask me to cover that. he works as a forklift operator and his son has his own vehicle.
The cave part was a little creepy but otherwise a very beautiful area. Great video
Neat !
Reekay, our place is in del monte, inland. Samal is beautiful and very quiet. You are welcome to stay at our place. We will finally retire in 2 years. We have a house , everything is in place. We love Davao.
I cant wait.. to retire on mindanao island. We have family in CDO… an a home in Leyte.. I love the people of the Philippines
Yep,lived on Samal first 2 months in Philippines
Nice greenery in Samaul. What I like about the Phillipines most people are Christian based believe in Jesus Christ and the Trinity. Unlike most of Asia who are Agnostic ,don’t believe in God.
i agree. it is a distinction worth noting.
Our small piece of land is nearby in Babak, never been there brother in law sent photo
He Reekay, is it safe there? Could I go around alone?
@Reekay’s LifeBeyondTheSea What is the feeling of that case now that it has been several years. Is it considered to be a one off incident or an ever present possibility. What was surprising to me was how far away their kidnappers went.
It was safer 20 years ago .been a couple of incidents there kidnappings so u Never know .times have changed resorts I wouldn’t go near !!
her family recommended that expats travel either in a group or with a filipino family, just to be safe. there is a checkpoint at the ferry landing. but anyone kidnapped would likely be taken away on a small boat, as was done in other cases.
The garden around the church was beautiful
Beautiful communities, my heart belongs to the Philippines
Always great info . Super nice video. Thanks Reekay
Go into the cave!!
Hello ,I’m glad you’re having a wonderful day. Very beautiful island reminds me of SIQUIJOR
Deep inside of Samal.. what a treat Reekay. Man, you beat me to it! That is next on my list of things to do. I am planning to spend some months, no, maybe years there to get acclimated to a province lifestyle- just like your initial experience in Bohol… thanks for sharing. BTW, do I have to adjust to life without internet there?
Beautiful province life so different from here in New Jersey thanks Reekay
Enjoyed, Thank you!
I love the provincial areas, much better than Cebu and Manila
Mr Velez you need to google this so called General Hilario Camino Moncada… he was a false prophet, charlatan n snake oil salesman…he went to Calcutta India to learn numerology, Kabbalah and mystic teachings and combined them with God/Jesus Christ..,he told his followers he was the second coming of Jesus Christ…you need to be careful because there probably demonic entities attached to that church.. go google a research by Kavanagh… I relaying this in love and out of concern for your well being.. u have helped many people on your channel and I am doing the same for you.. I pray that u heed the warning..,I know they seem nice just like Jehovah witnesses and even Mormons but at the end of the day they are still in a cult.. the members of that particular church are in a cult and don’t even know it., God bless
i had already read about him via wikipedia before we went. i don’t advocate or endorse the guy, just visited the place. similar to people who visit buddhist temples but are not buddhist. just a place to see as part of seeing the province for the day.
hey Reekay, ” i thought you were going to stay Ho Chi Minh Vietnam”?
curious to know, its been awhile since i seen your video’s…..Tom
i do plan on returning to HCMC next year. for now i am building a good relationship in the ph to bring with me there in the future.
Funny how our sensory experience imprints on our memory. When you walked past the outdoor toilet I swear I could smell it!!!
If not for Samal & Talikud, I would’ve been worn out, during my return to Davao, a few years ago. So nice to escape the traffic & mall-to-mall existence of Davao & area.
Even though Samal has developed a lot since the 1990s, it continues to offer natural beauty & the “province” lifestyle. Between Babak & “Anduan”, a moto-taxi took us through a beautiful Muslim village nestled between fruit trees and lush greenery. It was just above the property line of “that” fateful marina.
Yes, advisable to arrange an escort, I suppose, although, most locals will watch your back, if they don’t think you’re a dickhead..
Be careful Reekay, just 4 years ago they had a kidnaping on that island.they killed all there hostages to.
Hi friend, nice meeting you here just see your caring text that means you care, and am also welcoming you to my channel feel free to join me and have funny and enjoy lol, thank you in advance
Checking out churches, you getting ready to get married?
Great video, and congrats on finding a great girl, keep up the incredible vlogging
Went to Samal Island a few years back and stayed at an expats b&b. Beautiful Island and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Hope to go back again in the future. Hopefully you will get a chance to visit the large Bat cave they have there. It was amazing to see so many bats in one cave complex.
Great vids.
Very province and an outdoor CR I see there. The church is interesting and I wonder what it’s about. I saw a lot of pics of the founder it looks like. Just need to be careful as I read about the kidnapping of 3 foreigners there. I think it was a few yrs ago.
Reekay, how old is your girlfriend Vi? Does she have any siblings? Her parents looks cool…
Hi Can am her only sibling lol, am joking friend, please welcome to my channel need your support, thank you in advance looking forward to see you there
she is 21 years old, will be 22 in May. she has an older sister who is married. her parents are very cool people, we just hung out again day before yesterday. 🙂
My first time seeing you with your queen God bless you and please welcome to my channel thank you
I see you might have found a nice Pinay, to be with? In a couple of months, I will be moving from The city of Butuan, to a Beach house in Tandag City.
Beautiful Island is Samal, the best beaches are on the southern coast. Resorts like Pearl farm and Paradise beach are worth a day trip as they are very close to Davao city doesn’t take long for boats to get there. Im glad your enjoying Davao, it truly is a wonderful city, underrated imo.
