Just back from my first visit – can entirely support what you’re saying about meeting Filipinas in the mall. Would add that the “Land Sharks” wait to see you hesitate or stand looking around, but their approach is not terribly subtle – “I’m stranded here waiting for my work papers to get approved and need a place to stay for just a few days” was about as subtle as it got; they are lovely but highly recommend terminating the conversation with them as quickly as possible. Beyond the mall, enjoyed making conversation with the street vendor families – this sometimes led to an introduction to their female family members but regardless, the food and company was cheerful, often very funny and even more friendly the next time I visited.
When we are at the mall, my girlfriend has eyes in the back of her head watching me. LOL
As I am sure you know by now I have never dated here since I have been with Ne since I came here, but I have been here long enough that I know Filipinas & they usually don’t make the first move. You are girls shopping or clerks are get ones to strike up a conversation with. just be yourself. They are very friendly if they don’t think you are some chick boy trying to pick up them for a one-night stand.
