  2. Reekay, any update on new regs allowing Balibayan visits starting Dec 7th I believe. Key question ..is quarantine period only until get required covid test results back vs the 14days previously??. maybe just 3 days? that’s doable. Mike

    1. All those who arrive from abroad have to take the test at the airport. Then they need to stay in DOH-accredited hotel/resort while waiting for the results which comes in 12-24 hours. Hotel bookings should be made prior to their departure as they will show it at the airport as they board the plane. With negative result, you can proceed to your final destination for free (if your final destination is not either Cebu or Manila). If positive result, the DOH official will fetch you from your accommodation and take you to the medical facility. If you’re negative and live within land travel distance, an official from your town or barangay will need to fetch you from either airport or accommodation if you don’t have a private vehicle to fetch you. You won’t be allowed to take any public transport. Upon getting home, you need to self quarantine for 14 days before you can visit public places such as markets, churches, malls, etc.

  18. My dad is an expat living in General Santos City with his new Filipina wife. I wish he would send pictures! But he does, so I watch yours instead.

    1. Gensan is way down the bottom south of the Philippines and is a popular city because it is where tuna industry is the biggest in the country. The city though is very small and offers very limited options in terms of daily conveniences.

  32. I’m looking forward to late 2021 or early 2022. Having experienced what I have watched from afar for 7 years only one time in 2019, I am eager to give it another try. Yes, the current situation has felt like Groundhog Day without even an elusive Andie Macdowell as an object of desire, but if there was an upside is that it showed me that when that chance comes again for travel, adventure, and, heck, living overseas, I’d better take it with both hands.

    1. yes, many airbnb’s i’ve stayed at had the same rule. even a taxi in vietnam, we had to stick it in the trunk. almost didn’t even get the ride because of the durian.

  43. Great view , we own unit in Tower 1 just a question is swimming pool and gym finished and opened yet?

    1. swimming pools have water.. but still can’t enter them. they don’t run the pumps so they are constantly cleaning them. gym still hasn’t gotten a single piece of equipment brought in. Q. – where’s all those condo-dues going??

      If your grandma had a Spanish parent, then you being part of her blood line, are also now a mixture of both Philippine and Spanish blood lines. It’s a good mixture from my perspective.

      I personally prefer a Filipina with Spanish ancestors.

      For in my view, the Spanish mix of Filipinas are more attractive than the pure Philippine blood lines.

      Do you have a sister who is single?

  47. Heyyyy Reekay, you gotta be brave to sit and smell that thing hahahaha. I can’t stand the smell of those things and I’ve never tasted them either but I hear it’s not that bad if you plug your nose lol.

  49. Good Video of a really nice place. We stayed close to where you live I believe we first arrived in the Philippines a couple of years ago. At the Maayo Hotel. It was really nice too. We had the penthouse suite. I loved it there.

    1. You should keep those photos and videos as a memento of Maayo Hotel because they are now renovating the property to become a hospital and wellness center. They stop accepting bookings recently for the renovation.

  50. Looks like a relaxing spot with great views. I enjoy the rooftop decks they have in some of the local condos.
