  1. There are so many channels now. Seams that every other Expat has a channel. I have been here for a year and a half. I have it pretty much figured out. You was one of the ones that I followed before I came. You had good information. Thanks.

  2. When I first started to research the Philippines and dating a Filipina in 2017, your vlogs popped up, and your information was useful, such as red flags to spot when dating Filipinas, or how to stay safe in Cebu etc.. when people ask me about the Philippines and wanting to visit, I refer them to your blogs.

  3. One flaw in your thinking is, once you develop a reputation for reliable info, having your name associated with the channel is a plus.

Visuals are important, too. If you want to present useful info, I don’t see how stock footage of beautiful babes and beaches add to your presentation, except as an occasional embellishment.

My two cents. You be you… you’ve done well so far!

  4. Thanks for sharing your strategy of not being on video (which I miss).

As a hobby photographer, I’m curious where you source your photos from?

  5. You may not have the largest amount of subscribers, but you are now and have been one of the best informational video channels around as far as covering the Philippines.

  6. Hello Henry and always been a pleasure acquiring your useful information over the years! Thank you for always providing great content as well! Have a great day!

  7. Hello , I hope you’re doing well. I’m curious about using toilets without seat covers in the Philippines. Could you kindly share your insights on whether it’s common to hover, sit, or squat on top? Thank you!

  8. I can understand your reasons for the change, but I still enjoy seeing your face on the channel. There is a lot of information to be gained about what a person is saying by watching their facial expressions. Maybe you can do a mix of the styles.

  9. Glad you changed the channel format and I like the new look and feel, Reekay! I also love the useful information you provide as it is very helpful for someone like myself, one who is seriously considering a relocation to PH. Lastly, where did you obtain all those slick photos of attractive Filipinas…? If there’s a photo gallery available for download, I would LOVE to know. It would make a fantastic slide show / screen saver.

  10. That are really good thoughts, Reekay. Lately I been watching many new bloggers uploading videos simply about food they are eating , showing around the malls etc in the Philippines. Which absolutely worthless for those who planning to settle down here like me. I truly appreciate your thoughts to come up with new format as you always give many infos. By the way, I’m in Bohol since 17th July and spending really useful time with my filipina fiance. She is absolutely who she was during my LDR. She was the only child to her parents and both parents already passed away. I hardly spend much money while we stay in her province as almost everything available around her house such as manok, fruits and vegetables , cow, tilapia fish pond. Amazing experience and wonderful people. I learned lots of new ideas as how to handle certain things and matters. It’s very true as you mentioned that come and spending real time face to face with them is the true communications. My filipina is honestly a real and no tampo person. Bisayans are more mostly kind and very helpful and friendly. Thanks Reekay

  11. I have met you in Cebu & also started watching your VERY helpful vids for couple years prior to moving here in 2017 which gave me the confidence to do such a big move. You’ve said things previously about phasing out, writing, also said many vloggers now w/their own channel, etc.,etc.. You do seem much more active with vids these days IMO. Not to sound personal but could any of this also be financial reasoning?

  12. I like the new look of your channel and the information is always useful. Thank you.
