  2. First date I ever went on with a Filipina, she asked to bring a friend. I understood: she didn’t really know me. She didn’t know whether I was looking for a relationship or just some quick sex. So I said ok. Now years later, different woman, we’re married. I propose a date and she says she wants to bring friends. No! We’re married, we’re past the check out phase. I want time alone together, not a party with a bunch of your friends.

  3. I got asked the same question on the morning my present girl friend came to Manila from the province to meet me for a late lunch. I said as long as it was a female it was ok (later I explained the hidden husband and boy friend thing). When my girl friend was away from the table, the friend kept telling me how my girl friend was available to date. It turns out I was her first foreigner to date and she felt safer traveling the two hours, into Manila with a friend.

  4. On the first date it is okay. Second date, going to dinner. etc. No, unless you are going to the beach just to have fun, sure. but more intimate times no.

  5. My expectations would drop quite a bit if that was suggested. If we are just meeting for coffee, then fine, I guess.

  6. That’s not a thing, first dates have nothing do with anyone other than the guy/gal chatting. Anything else is an obvious hustle or some low-value resource sucking vibe.

  7. The other day I saw a girl carrying flowers on the street. I asked for one, she said “no” as she walked past me. I responded with “ aw, don’t you love me”. She did a 180, came up and introduced herself. But I still didn’t get a flower. Lol

  8. Agreed. However, if you were dating and you were serious, let them bring as many friends as they want you might find their friend is a whole lot better than they were.

  9. Yes, common sense tell me also if you do that then comes the asking of money from various family members. I could tell you some stories but i don’t want to farm this out on socialist platforms like this. Nothing is confidencial not even emails.

  10. Unless this is a “double date” that leads into a “big adult finish” tell her to meet you solo.

  11. “Can I bring my friend” is a free meal situation. The answer is no, unless the friend is ready to join in the fun…

  12. For some reason this is a thing in the Philippines. As soon as you make a date with a girl she might decide to invite her friend(s) or family on the date and expect you to pay.
