Have been watching you for about 3 years now. I am moving to Cebu August 5th. I am 45 years old and have 5 kids with my two previous white American wives. I am a disabled veteran who left the military after 15 years. My Filipina girlfriend is 35 years old and she has a 13 year old son. I am starting my life fresh (not sure what group that puts me in). I want simple, slow and quiet. I am highly motivated to enjoy the rest of my life. I make $1900 a month from VA disability which is more than enough to live in Cebu. We are currently building a house in a very nice gated community. I chose Filipina women for their family values and their level of respect for their husband. It was an easy choice.
2006-2012 I used to hang out with a group of expat business owners and executives, mostly from Business Prosses Outsourcing. I would put them in their own category with some of your “Expat Styles” as sub categories.
Great thought process. Helped me think more about what I’m expecting from my visit. Haven’t been to successful (as I mentioned about a week ago), but will be in PH. in 19 days. For you, you need a better work / relationship balance. Both of you will be happier. 🙂 Words often used, my reminder to you. Hope I can get myself what I need, which may not be what I think I want:(
Being brutally honesty with yourself about yourself is one of the hardest things.for myself I’m definitely the first group.ive never had the whole family thing but always wanted it.its the one part of my life I have felt the most empty and not satisfied with.
