[Video] Typhoon.. In The Afternoon

It’s hard to convey via just video or text how amazing it is to enjoy warm rains here.  I’ve mentioned it a couple times because it really is something to be experienced.  Back home in California when it rains it’s because it’s about 60*F outside.  Running around in the rain means coming in shaking and freezing.  But here, it can rain and remain about 74*F.. even at night it will only dip down to about 70*F in the rain.

That makes for some welcome relief not only from the heat.. but a pleasurable walk in the downpour.  I’ve even sat out in a lawn chair at night to feel the rain coming down on me while enjoying the massive lightning storms overhead.  One night I saw so much lightning in an hour I had to come in because my eyes were starting to burn from the flashes of looking directly into them.  Add to all this the many green banana, mango and other trees that grow like crazy here and it’s just a wonderful experience.  On a typhoon afternoon like today it also makes for a good time to enjoy some cool weather and get things done around the house.

      1. Oh forgot to mention just a small detail apart from the spiders ( which i forgot to mention ) is don’t stand too long under the coconut trees. When the coconuts fall they can inflict a bit of damage to your head. Just saying.

        1. When the wind is up I sometimes hear the mangoes hit the corrugated roof with a loud BAMM!! At first I thought it was vandals.. ha! Yah, a coconut on the head would not feel good at all.. no naps under the coco tree for me.

  1. Very interesting move, but the studio video left me feeling kind of depressed. No couch, no relaxing chairs, nothing on the walls. How do expect to attract a beautiful woman with such sparse living accommodations? I understand $150.00 USA dollars a month is a good deal for a studio, but the tour of your place left me feeling kind of sad. There was no personality to your home. A card table with plastic chairs? And you have been living there over a year. Why have you not invested in some furniture?
