I recall in the US that the democrats approved abortion while pro live people did not. But when they had full control of Congress and the Presidency under Obama they did nothing to change the law. So the cry about abortion was really about collecting donation funds.
So I think the same goes for divorce in the Philippines. The rhetoric is all about getting money.
