Amazing how some guys are either just plain stupid as can be, or are so narrow minded that they can’t see the big picture. I don’t feel sorry for these idiots one bit.
It comedy for the smart guys to laugh their ass off at these knuckleheads.
That’s what happens when guys think with their little head instead of their big head (he was most likely just thinking about how cool and convenient it would be to screw my maid anytime i want but not thinking ahead to now she’s going to feel like she’s his girlfriend now and make it difficult to date other girls.)
If that is the maid… I too would have slept with the maid. You can always get a new girlfriend… Tough to find a good maid!

After hearing this story… he actually lucked out! If she had made a big stink about it or claimed that he knocked her up.., oh geezz!!
Problem is, he wanted a live in and to play the field. That is never going to work. She’s not going to want you bringing home strange when you feel like changing things up on a Tuesday. If he wanted to keep hitting the bars for new girls, then don’t invite one to live there. I don’t think I’d want a live in maid that I’m not having fun with, if I’m going to be bringing women home all the time.
I see that common sense really isn’t as common as I thought lol.
Assuming you will never need anybody, but you will and best make sure she is family like.

crazy story, first world problems
This is somewhat different than the Seinfeld episode. In this situation he was dating her before she had ever cleaned for him. So it wasn’t like she worked for him as his maid before he moved her in. They were dating before he moved her in, and she hadn’t even cleaned for him one time. He should have made sure that she was cool with thoroughly cleaning his place before moving her in.
You could write a book considering all the crazy stuff you’ve heard over the years. Guy finds maid at bar, then thinks it’s a good idea to move her in. You can take the girl out of the bar, but not the bar out of the girl. Love the channel!

Great presentation, Reekay. I’ve been divorced and lived alone since 2015. I plan to stay single because marriage (2x) have left a bad taste in my mouth. I certainly will maintain my own space. This is great advise and I appreciate it.
What happened here is that this guy did not define the terms that he really wanted. What he should have done was made the offer strictly on his terms. Made it a short term arrangement like 30 days that the terms can be renegotiated at the end of 30 days.

Always great advice and great stories from your network. #1 If you are going to PHL, why live in the city unless you’re just allergic to the the sea breeze and outdoors? Perhaps you want like the city life and activities of a busy city. This guy, just wanted to buy affection and that could be done anywhere but perhaps the city has more options because of more people. #2 A foreign man is going to be in a “fish bowl” and not going to blend in. As you stated, “6 degrees of separation”and a resourcefulness Filipina will find out about were you go and what you do.

The Seinfeld episode came to my mind right away! Seinfeld – “You didn’t do anything. you didn’t clean anything” “I made the bed!” “You took a nap!”
1st. Keep these stories coming. Very interesting. and I plan on retiring to the Philippines next year, probably BGC in Manila or the Cebu area.
