I am desperately trying to find a way to fun a life overseas where I never have to come back. Except for one more funeral. Because I never want to come back.
What I don’t understand.
Is how western woman can’t understand what the rest of the world knows and has been doing for eons.
If 50 years of modern woman ideals can replace society norms of forever.
What does the future hold? Men straight up.
Educate, earn and get as far away from western society as possible when you want to settle down with a family and a good woman.
great video, in life, we just have to evaluate the pros and cons, and make our chooices. Once financailly established, there is not much pros stay in US.
well u really kinda need a good amount of money.things might be cheaper in some cases but other things are not because its a developing country not one already developed.
the fact is u really need a lot of money to experience the full measure usually.just because the rare unicorn gets lucky doesnt mean u will.the odds are still against u like anywhere else in the world.
I’ve been an expat living full time in Europe and S.E. Asia since 2009. Wouldn’t trade it for anything, nor would I ever go back to the U.S. except out of necessity.
Not a needle in a hay stack.. A needle in a whole field full of hay stacks..
Retiring in Cebu was the best decision of my life! The quality of my life has dramatically improved.
Your voice reminds me of Jordan Peterson. I’m not an full time expat yet but you have giving sound advice when I’m in the Philippines 3months out the year Thank you.

Thanks for all the good advice
Thought provoking, thank you.
Maybe it’s time that we as expats try to solve the issue of finding quality professional medical services in the Philippines because that’s the only REAL ISSUE and huge challenge I have faced since the beginning over here..Everything else was a piece of cake here in Lapu lapu Mactan Cebu.
Nice video, thanks.

Hi Rekay, really appreciate your videos, hope one day to be in the Philippines. I’m a registered travel nurse, divorced with a nine year old son who lives with his mom. I’m saving and planning to one day live my life in the Philippines. Thanks for all that you do and may God bless you
Based on the country surveyed, anywhere from 50%-75% of expats that move to another country, do not make it 2 years. Most surveys indicate if someone can last 5 years, he (usually) most likely will stay. I live in Latin America and the language is the number one reason they go back home. I have lived outside the US for almost 10 years and I have watched so many come and go simply because they under estimated the challenges needed to thrive. But those that do stay, are the happiest people I know.
I have been ready to make the jump. I am finally within a couple of months of doing it. I cannot wait to get there.
Engagement
I traveled on Five continents when I was in my 30-40s. Even married and lived in South America for 5 years. But now that I am in my early 60s I am not sure I want to put up with all the BS involved with living in a third world country or even in a first world country where most people can’t speak English. Many YouTube channels go on and on about how great it is to live overseas but from my experience, even with all its faults and issues, there is no place like home.
Another winner here…Asking yourself the hard questions do I have what it takes and what is needed to live over there, especially with all the strife and economics of being able to afford goods and services in the world. A plan for your life makes sense, something which I think 95% of the expats have. Makes you think even more nowadays. Peace
I will learn, “What is a parttime expat?”
