Since 2012 I’ve been traveling through various islands of the Philippines as a full-time Expat and spent 1999 living in Vietnam.

Share with me my ongoing adventures of life in the Philippines. Hopefully you find my observations helpful in your own adventures.

  2. Another great in depth intelligent video to make you think very deep…..

  3. Great video Reekay as always..
Question. I have a up coming trip late May to middle of June.
Do you or one of your viewers know where to get the antigen test 24 hrs before departure in Manila airport to leave and get back to USA.
If so where, are there long lines, is it a long process etc. Any tips from a recent traveler much appreciated.
Thx for any help. Be well

  4. Very interesting and I can relate to your take on this. I’m just past stage 1, burnt out, and like you, I find myself spending more time alone, by preference. I think this should be a stage in itself – Stage 1.5?

  5. You’re right Reekay. some of us just need to get that run amuck stage out of our system for a coupe of years. than be ready to slow down.

  6. Thank you my friend I really enjoyed your blog today, I’m in stage 3 and didn’t even realize it I found a wonderful woman we have been chatting on Facebook for 2 years and I hope to marry her as soon as I get to the Philippines. She’s a very wonderful Christian woman we had a little problem in the beginning with honesty but I found out that it was only because she’s trying to save face. After I explained to her the importance of honesty in a relationship we’ve had no more problems

  7. I prefer the 40’ish girl who has been around the block a little w/sincere intention of long term. Sure they may have a kid or 2 but many at that stage of life really just want to give all there love to one good man.

  8. To experience the deepest human connection with the right Pinay. We as foreigners must give our entire heart ❤️
It has to be a two way commitment. We have to accept that we deserve to be loved and let go of our past pains we carried on our backs when we arrived in the Philippines. We attract what we are inside. Our mindset is everything. The right Pinay is waiting but we should be careful because there are some Pinays that will just fool us. These types it’s just a business transaction. Thank you for another excellent conversational topic. Keep them coming.

  9. I’m not even at stage 1, but from where I am, no more than eight months out from a projected travel date. I take this subject very seriously.

  10. Real story. Me and dozen friends (mostly couples non-Filipinos) flew to Cebu in 2013 for a friend’s wedding. At the night of departure at JFK airport, I had a huddle w/ all the guys and warned them that as an American, the women there will be scouting you from the moment we land. Fast forward to the day of leaving Cebu 2 weeks later, one dude almost missed the flight because he was still hooking up and one couple ended up getting divorced about 8 months later.

  11. great timing of this video for me, reekah, words of wisdom here, starvation vs abundance, reekah, are you still in CA. .or back in the PI?

  12. I feel that I have found my Filipina life mate in stage 3, I just need the Philippines to allow unvaccinated foreigners into their country lol. Hopefully this year sometime.

  13. Such thought provoking and logical advice Reekay. When a guy finally wants to settle down with a good woman, maybe he should look for one who went to the university and said no way, when she was approached by the monger guys you were describing in the video. There’s a good chance she’ll be faithful in the future

  14. I’m much the same way. Kind of an old fashioned introvert. I’m not shy, by any stretch of the imagination, but Im more of a homebody, one woman type of guy.
I do like to go out and have a good time doing different things.

It’s all about finding a good balance.

  15. Would eventually love to visit the PI, but don’t want to jump thru all the hoops the PI government put on tourists
