Short distance travel and shorter trips is strictly carry on only. Only if I go abroad for a month I really need an additional suitcase.
I travelled the whole world, including the Philippines, for 2 months. All I brought was a daypack. It fit under the seat in front of me. I could walk for miles with it on my back. It reduced the amount I paid for taxis, and it made life simple and easy.
