About Me.. In 2011 I made the decision to move to the Philippines within a year. Since 2012 I’ve been traveling through various islands of the Philippines as a full-time Expat. (Mactan, Bohol, Panglao, Moalboal, Dumaguete, Bacong, Boracay, Cebu) I recently spent the year living in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

  1. Fasting from 8pm to noon the next day helps to ramp up any diet snd is much easier to keep in place

  2. Hi Henry, you forgot the most healthiest, cheapest and easy tool that is out there, i.e. intermittent fasting!

  3. If you get 30,000 pesos salary and later 30,000 pesos pension every month then everything is socially okay.

  4. Vitamin C 500mg am & pm – lmmune support;
    Centrum am – Vitamin supplement;
    Glucosamine Sulphate 1500mg am – For my joints; and
    Odourless Fish Oil 1500mg am – For my heart.
    How do l stop myself forgetting – They’re all lined up on the counter next to where l eat.
    If l miss a meal there and forget to take them, they’re all there waiting for my next meal.
    Been doing these for 20 years, except the Fish Oil.
    Started that 2 years ago when a Cardiologist recommended it.

  8. Thank you so much Henry for some great diet and health tips! I take Probiotics, Multi-Vitamins, and B complex along with my 2 Immunosuppressive drugs (for my kidney transplant from last year) and my high blood pressure medications. Plus I eat very healthy and eat salads at least 4 time or 5 per week along with lean chicken, tuna, or lean turkey. The other days I’ll have rice, beans and a meat or a lean sandwich. Thanks again!

  9. He insures his health with vitamins, probiotic, veggies, fruit, but then doesn’t want to use a billion dollar vaccine to insure against variants he hasn’t been exposed to yet. But “melatonin is a lifesaver!”

  10. Balsamic Vinegar really improves the taste of steamed dark green veggies like broccoli, spinach, kale and arugula in my opinion.

  12. Keeping weight down is just as important as eating right. Additional weight on the body puts a lot of pressure on the heart, other organs and bones. Over the long term it will damage the body.

  13. Dieting is difficult for me so I pretty much eat whatever.. But at 58, I’m one of the oldest at my Crossfit gym. I’m the opposite , no baby steps here – go hard or go home. I just jumped right in, 3 days a week at the 6 am class. 7 years in January. Get past the 6th month and it will become more routine and you will crave exercise.Yeah the workouts are death and the body is constantly sore. But it’s a “good” sore and you are extremely relaxed afterwards. Now if I can only start that diet I’ve been meaning to try…

  14. I use my rice cooker like you say every day. Also It is great for chicken in the steamer with the veggies.

  16. I’ve been very fortunate to lose almost 400 pounds on my own through diet and exercise and your advice to make small, lasting changes is very sound and wise. This is a good vlog because when travel opens up, we all need to be healthy!

  18. I have similar routines as u & take supps. for over a year now & do believe in them. The problem for many w/change is as you age it seems easier just to talk yourself out of doing things than to do them.

  19. Try to avoid additional zucer and salt from your diat, you will b suprise to find the real test of coffee or vegetable salad. No suger and salt in my home.

  20. Eating a healthy diet helps but ideally, especially after the age of 33, every adult should be doing at least 20 min of cardio three times a week and weight lifting four times a week or more. I’ve seen guys in their 50s able to transform themselves into amazing shape.

  25. Got a question would you like to help me revive and old website called Philippine Beach Resorts . Com it is up but badly needs work. I am not a writer so not good at creating content. I am considering using you as the writer and partner in this site. When it was active back in 2004 it has an average of 40 thousand hits a day. All I have to do is add you as an admin and you can post away at all sorts of subjects, some of which should be how to retire in the Philippines and include some content about various resorts in the Philippines. You will need to replace the sample posts with real posts and I can help with this also.

  26. Reekay would you consider doing an updated video on some of your technology you use on your site as far as camera, are you doing a green screen background, live chat software etc. I like this background and wondering how you were doing it..? Thanks!

  27. Invest in a juicer, like the Omega NC800. It will allow you to eat more fresh fruits and vegetables. Many will say there is no fiber in juice. They are wrong. My honeydew, celery and papaya juice had plenty of pulp in it during lunch. Great video!

  28. Damn this is good i am Vegan myself, i have been Vegan for 3 yrs now. I started slowly cutting down red meat, fish, milk, eggs, and chicken. And i work out like 4 times a week been doing this for over 15 years and i am loving it. So it’s not easy for most people sometimes i grave for meat but my willpower is very strong now. I have actually taken it to the next level i have been having one meal a day and i still maintain my usual work out 4 time a week for over a year.

  29. I thought I was the only one drinking that Psyllium fiber therapy been using it religiously for over 20yrs also. Here in US cheapest place I’ve found the stuff is at Walmart Equate brand called Fiber Therapy

  30. Great video that all us retires need to follow. I have been in the health food industry for 22 years. I have some recommendations if you don’t mind. Centrum, it is a manufactured vitamin complex and our bodies do nor recognize them as nutrition and therefor are a total waste. I recommend a food based multi like Garden Of Life. They are pricey but work. Melatonin is a hormone, with some people it can have the opposite effect and keep people awake. Start with a small dose. Psyllium start with a small amount at first because it can bulk up and actually make you constipated……

  31. Eat a ketogenic diet. It will rid you of most health issues.
    The heavy ammunt of carbohydrates and processed food is a real killer.
