Since 2012 I’ve been traveling through various islands of the Philippines as a full-time Expat and spent 1999 living in Vietnam.
Share with me my ongoing adventures of life in the Philippines. Hopefully you find my observations helpful in your own adventures.

The message here is clear as always. We get what we ask for. The world cares not if it is culturally adjudged good or bad. The opposite situation to the one aptly described here is much quoted, that is, leading with money while at the same time exhibiting no boundary requirements, ending up with a relationship self-created where money remains the foundation and behavior is of no consequence. It is hilarious when guys design such circumstances then blame the girl when all she was doing was responding to the prompts.
I love your videos. This video and your story is absolutely beautiful. I just wish you would be on camera more when you do these.
Great story of meeting your wife. Don’t get to hear of too many perfect matches like that since I’ve been here. God bless you both…
Thank you……..
The story is so beautiful,
I met tons of great filipinas online, including my wife of 12 years.
Good for you man… God bless❤
Thanks for being honest. I’ve listened to quite a few of your videos now and I like your philosophy. When I retire in a couple of years I think I’m going to go to the Philippines for a couple of months just to see if I like it there. I’d like to wake up and see the ocean every day. I can afford to do that there. Maybe I will like the Philippines and maybe not. Only one way to find out.
Reekay, Was the guy that set everything a go to the phils. Been watching his vids for many years. Wish I could meet him. Great job Henry. She is a beautful lady. Best wishes to you and your wife.
It is nice to hear that there are such Filipinos out there. Living in Cebu it has been a challenge in meeting such women. This podcast has given me hope. And by the way, I often listen to your podcast, please continue with the good work.
Thank you for sharing this story. I could not be happier for the two of you. It gives me hope that there will be someone out there for me. I have been out of the dating game for decades, divorced a few years back, and havent really been interested in dating. The divorce was not anything as bad as what most go through. I have just been focused on a career change. Asia is drawing me in and i love filipinos anyway. Good place to start. Thanks again reekay. Love your videos.
Most of the time, if a Filipina is of child-bearing age, even if she has children, she will want more with you. I have been disqualified by more than one Filipina woman because of my vasectomy.
This video gives me hope as I also not interested in having kids in my retirement (I’m 64) and don’t want a woman who has kids (under 18). I want to spend 50% of my time in retirement traveling and would want my GF to travel with me exploring and visiting many places throughout the Philippines and possibly other countries. So, it’s good to hear that more women are OK with not having kids in their relationships.
You hit the jackpot, my friend, and I did also in Colombia. It’s not by any means a sure thing, but you can’t score if you don’t try!
Sooo lookin’ forward to gettin’ the heck outta the states, and start traveling!!
It’d be heaven just to have a friendly convo with a woman, without all the crazy preconceived issues here!
2 of my friends met their Filipinas online and have been married 20 years now. 1 of my friends met his during a layover when flying for work. They had chemistry and stayed in touch and finally connected. They are married 16 years now. I met my Filipina wife online as well but it took 8 or 9 months to sort through the others. She found me on the dating site and I noticed her responses to my questions were different from all the others, more honest. We ended up taking our conversation off the dating site and began video-chats. Then I flew over to meet her and ended up meeting her entire family & extended family. It was a lot to take in on my 1st visit but a lot of fun. We are married 2 years now. Life is Good !! So just do what you would normally do and be open to a relationship and understand that dating is not forever, it is a step towards finding the right one. Some make the cut and many do not.
That’s a good story! I have to admit, when she said to meet at a grocery store, I thought the same as you. Or best case scenario (her knowing your leaving), you buy the groceries, she cooks dinner for you.
Everything that you said is so true
So happy for both of you! May love and happiness always be in your relationship! Congratulations.
Great story! Inspiring! How old was your wife when you guys met?
It. Great you go the right woman and your happy married , things that turn me off about some Phil woman is not saying thank you , not been a bit kind , asking for money ,
I think a big part of these relationships start with the expectation of the expat. Thx for sharing~
Nice story…. Everything was worth it… the effort discipline and focus you applied…..Congrats to you in this journey…
