  1. i bought $3000 bitcoin on livecoin site now even site no more exist u have be carful where u buy crypto

  2. They call me Tiger II,

I first would like to say thanks for your excellent presentation videos. After looking at many expats’ videos on the Philippines, I would suggest taking notes on how to present a topic.

I am currently in Thailand, waiting on things to get better so that I can come back to the Philippines. I’m a golfer and most of my time is on the course.

I know people are traveling to the Philippines and here to Thailand during this pandemic, and I wish them all well, but I would not chance flying anywhere. I want to enjoy my retirement and the fruit of my labor for servicing 37 years. Please don’t ask because I will not tell.

If you like to know what’s going on here, download the app called Line. Then send me your ID, and I will add you. Why? I upload many things there to include send out what is going on here to a few expats’ that are still stuck in the US.

    Here is a little info;

At the current moment, 31 Jan 2021, parts of Bangkok are in the red. Pattaya, which is in Chonburi, just came out of lockdown for the second wave. But, if you don’t need to be outside, I recommend you still at home.

This place is DEAD and has been since March 2020.

The majority of the business is closed down because there are no tourists. The only tourist is the expats and the Thai. The Chinese are not even coming.

The government is out of control when it comes to everything. They put out so many BS laws to catch the people that think they are above the law. Their fines are up to 100,000 baht and jail time.

I cannot say how things are when it comes to Bar Life; I am not into them.

Since the first wave, the bar girls are online to include the massage salon girls. To be honest, everything is sold online now. You don’t have to leave your place.

I don’t recommend anybody to come or reside here anymore. This country has become racist toward foreigners, and if you have not been watching the news, you need to ask somebody.

They changed the retirement Visa law. You can not touch your money in the bank three months before renewing your retirement Visa and three months afterward.

I don’t recommend making any investment. People that own homes and condos were not allowed back into the country until near the end of 2020.just to pay their property taxes.

Quarantine does not matter what; you will need the required documents they want, and stay 15 days, not 14, and it is not cheap. The day you arrive don’t count. Oh, if you are a golfer, you can stay at a golf course and play golf every day during the quarantine—cost: $4000 up, not including transportation to and from.

I am writing you because I would like to know about the real estate property in Cebu. I am planning to invest, but can not get any good information on the real estate. Do you have the time to gather some good law firm’s POC info I can correspond with within Cebu? In a short video, can you cover renting houses and gated communities? I have never lived in a Condo or an Apartment In my lifetime. I am a house person. I hope to hear from you soon.

    1. @The Truth Will Set You Free i just now clicked on her link and it loaded, no problem. not sure why the link doesn’t work for you. perhaps try a different browser.

    2. @Reekay’s LifeBeyondTheSea Thanks, but her FB is not coming up on FB. Do you have her company name, website, or email?

    3. thanks for the good info on the scene in thailand. for a better, more in-depth source on the scene with housing here in the PH.. contact the following person. she’s an agent here in cebu and she’s been a great resource for me.. https://www.facebook.com/maann.sarsona

  3. I worry about Philippines kicking out U.S. military if U.S. doesn’t give vaccine. Did I hear this correctly about what they are planning? is there turmoil brewing with U.S. citizens there?

    1. absolutely nothing to worry about, no anti-american sentiment at all. most filipinos aren’t even monitoring it since they have more pressing issues to deal with. so, it’s not an issue at all. still very friendly here. 🙂

  4. Remember On Dating Sites The Service Is Free For The Girls , Money Is Made From The Foreigner

  5. Reekay, I really really enjoy these long form free style livestreams. I hope you keep doing them frequently!

  6. I have to say I have been getting depressed because of these lockdowns, but listening to u keeps me upbeat, thank u.

  7. i think its a great thing that you cant take them out from the country, that way you dont loose money , you keep youre money in youre wallet instead of giving it to migration, stay smart here ..if they arent smarter than that , let them be .. 🙂 🙂

    1. nope. i had pizza in NY many years ago and nothing here comes close. some good pizzas here and there, but on a relative/local scale.

there is a franchise called Reel Pizza that makes good pizza, in mandaue. i also like Yellow Cab.

  8. I’ve been living in Cebu Consolacion renting a house for 15K since 2019. The landlord is taking full advantage of COVID to raise the rent so we’ll be moving to a Condo hopefully soon. I think Condos are the way to go here. You mentioned construction noise that’s very common here and so are dogs. I’m getting away from the open subdivision to move to a hopefully quieter Condo space.

    1. @Reekay’s LifeBeyondTheSea I looked at Condo in Mabolo and I was suprised that the pool is open. It’s not closed for COVID. It’s on the 7th floor it looks quiet but the internet is only 5mbps. I don’t know if they can increase that but good internet is a must. I have lived residential here in Consolacion ground level house and in addition to the noise you mention I also have a chapel next door that wakes me up betwen 4 and 0430 AM on Sun mornings. This started during COVID last June. It’s impossible to tune out so I’ll never next a basketball court or a chapel here. The Mormons (LDS) I’ve noticed have a walled in fortress like structure that looks like little noise but the local open air chapels can be more than invasive – like broadcast Mass on a loudspeaker for the entire Barangay.

    2. the noise i do hear from 14+ stories up is more distant than being ground level, naturally. me, i can tune it out, rarely think about it. but when i’ve rented at ground-level, the neighbor’s roosters, karaoke, barking dogs and/or construction can be a bit invasive.

  9. 55:55 Good point on dating sites. I’ve not had success on any dating site, or in real life. I find it’s all about financial opportunity in one form or another. Therefore, IMHO, romance should be limited to clear terms of payment for services received. I’ve met dozens of women at professional conferences and they all have zero interest in foreign men, although a tiny percentage would marry for visa opportunity. The others want to send money home via marriage. Some want to buy their true family a house, etc. This is not romantic love. So, treat it for what it is. Just stick to clear terms of short duration and have fun. Peace.

  10. Among foreign nationals, the highest number of intermarriages that involved Filipino men were marriages with American women (16.6%), followed by Australian (14.0%), Canadian (12.3%), Chinese (7.2%), and Japanese(7.1%).
On the other hand, the highest number of intermarriages with Filipino women were marriages with American men (26.8%), followed by Japanese (10.6%), British (6.6%), Korean (6.3%), and Canadian (5.7%) men. 2019 Marriage Statistics Reference Number: 2021-017 Release Date: Monday, January 11, 2021

  11. You said what is wrong with people doing those mess and vandalism. THEY HAVE NO BRAIN TO THINK. that is the only thing is wrong with majority of people.

  12. I planned to meet my Filipina girlfriend in Singapore for a 2 week holiday (I was in my home country) and I didn’t want her to be ‘offloaded’, so she went to the airport and spoke to an immigration officer about her holiday a few months beforehand, and got some documentation showing that the officer had seen my passport details, proof of independent funds etc. I’d suggest this method since anticipating a holiday is one of the enjoyments of travel, you don’t want to be worried for the 3 months before you travel. This offloading riles me up, it’s very Soviet style and I can’t help but think that it’s a way to collect bribes. On the other hand, I’ve met online two Filipinas who were basically modern slaves, getting paid but working 17×365 hours and had their passports taken away from them (cellphone initially too). They had zero freedom.

  13. Just like Katherine McPhee and David Foster they are married with age differance she 35 -he 70 big deal in Hollywood ! Who cares

    1. @Reekay’s LifeBeyondTheSea Good luck with the vaccine. I sure as hell can’t get it here in Riverside County California and I’m 66 with high blood pressure and chronic bronchitis. The city i live in had an increase of 10,690 cases in the past 6 weeks. On Dec. 7th we had a total of 5,001 now as I write this it’s 15,691. I suspect we have the new more contagious version of the virus. SADLY the more contagious virus will exponentially bring infection rate to HERD immunity in PH and So Cal before many can get inoculated.

    2. not for quite a while. with roughly 115 million in the ph and only 20 million doses, it’s going to take a while before just anyone can go to a clinic and get it.

  14. Hi Reekay, can expats living in the Philippines leave the country and come back to the US?

    1. as of this current date, yes. (jan 22/2021) however a negative covid test will now be mandatory for entry into the usa.

  15. I spent 16 months in Thailand. Rented a 3-bedroom furnished house with a small saltwater pool. $900.

    1. @Reekay’s LifeBeyondTheSea should have said we must have 2-3 bedrooms because we get visitors.

    2. to rent an apartment in the cebu business park area (which i recommend and live now).. figure about $500 usd/month for rent for a studio/condo near the mall. all your other expenses, for 2 people, figure to come in around another $900 (groceries, dining out, taxis, electric, water, internet, phones, etc.) so, roughly $1400 usd.

could be 10% less or more, depending on your preferences for lodging, entertainment, food, etc.

  16. Airlines…this starts at President….Duterte is NEVERRRRRRRR EVERRRRRRRRRRRRR going to open the Philippines again…hope starts in new elections in May 2022…IFFF he allows FREE Elections.

  17. 18. “It’s going to be a bright bright sun shiny day” Johnny Nash-I can see clearly now-your a rocker from the 70’s-Keep on rockin Reekay!

  19. Have you heard anything about China buying property in Jamaica, to build a Army base, I also heard they are buying larg Farms in Oklahoma, paying 3 times what the property is worth.

  20. Hello Reekay, from Missouri. Our new president wants us to wear a mask for at least 100 days contiously, So no travel soon.

  21. Biden’s inauguration speech would have bored any rioters into a coma. I believe it was Will Rogers who said, “Democracy is a system of government where everybody gets what the majority deserves.”

  22. i have been watching you since you were in that small house on Bahol and you were friends with Rona and her partner

    1. I have been following your channel since then to. I was kind of hoping to hook up with you when you where in Moalboal.

  23. We hesitated to come to our house in Cebu because the virus was so bad last fall. But it seems to be out of control here in Montana. My wife and I finally got the virus and we were sick for a few days at home and recovered. However I lost a step-sister, step mother, a cousin and last night the doctor called and said they were considering shutting off the vent on my uncle. And these are separate covid-19 infections. In different localities and states (except for one). I wish we had moved over to Cebu earlier.

  24. I read an article from the Bureau of Immigration BI stopped 38,522 Filipinos citizens to leave the philippines 20 19 because BI suspected trapicking

  25. You should be required to take the vaccine so YOU are protected wherever you go. A stupid pre flight test is useless when you land and catch it from a local taxi driver. Take the vaccine sheep.

    1. You are not protected from infection or transmission from the vaccine, just from symptoms from the infection. The numbers are all being skewed. Educate yourself!

    2. But you are also required to take the covid test upon arrival at the airport. That;s how it is done right now in Cebu-Mactan Airport to all international arrivals.

  26. me again, re banking BDO-problems from VN, w/ no online-BDO-banking; just gotta travel to u s , re-establish SS-direct-deposit from BDO to Chase, then arrange for online-link Chase to VN bank, for transfers; then wait for ph to open-up, so i can transfer my BDO-$20,000usd to BDO-peso-ATM-acct; nuttin to it; granpa woodn believe it: ”whachu goin on about, son?”

  27. Great video. My most recent video actually gives a test that men could do on how to know if she is the one. The ONLY test you need to do. Check out my last video bro.
