@Reekay’s LifebeyondTheSea ,., It’s normal in Thailand where Thai people traveling to far away places, and they would make stops and pitch a tent to spend the night in just about all National parks 80 Baht (2.40 Cents) per adult. There are park rangers so most Thais feels safe camping out in the jungle (unlike The Philippines at the moment). I’ve seen even motorbike riders bringing their own small tent to sleep for the night, it’s a lot cheaper than hotels.
Hey thanks for the support Reekay for this somewhat new and unknown venture in Asia. The dynamics available to a traveler car camping vs a hotel or hotel stay are the flexibility of going more places staying longer in a region vs traveling back and forth to a more fixed stay. The rewards have been 100 fold why? For one simple reason, it will get you out more often than sitting in a room somewhere. I have had more value car camping meeting locals this way ,than any way I have done before. Also it gets addicting, I can’t wait to hit the road again each time! It is truly an adventure ;>)
There’s a YouTube vlogger called black Bigelow this guy’s been living in his fan for years and years I think he has a trailer he’s towing behind his minivan at this point but anyway gasoline is so high it’s difficult for the real road warriors
