yes, life is good. 🙂 we had such a great, relaxing time at bantayan. we’ll likely return for a second trip at some point. meanwhile, cebu has been comfortable for us, all things considered. 🙂

I think Americans will be the among the last countries to be welcomed back to the Philippines post covid travel. Worse, Americans might soon be required to get a visa prior to flying to the Philippines.

On the south side of the island, near the beach, there is Ogtong Cave Resort and in there you will find a fresh water pool in a cave below ground. It’s nice and cold in there for a break from those really hot sunny days and it’s really nice to have fresh water to swim in. Just over from the cave pool there is a cliff you can jump off too.

Great place to swim, alot of kids are enjoying. sometimes the best places are the ones that are out of the way. The food looks tasty, thank you for sharing . remain safe
Did you make it to Sandira Beach? If not, too bad. It’s just down the road from “The Ruins” and is the best beach on the island, one of many….Kota Park at the north end of the island is also worth the trip.

Reekay what health insurance do you have while in the Philippines? I tried to search on your link above (squaremouth) but it’s useless, comes up with no results. I’m planning to reside in the Philippines once they allow tourists again.

@Reekay’s LifeBeyondTheSea I don’t think so. Because we used to have dogs and cats who inbred themselves yet they had long tails.
i was told by someone years ago that cats and dogs will have extremely short and curly tails due to inbreeding.
They are everywhere here in Cebu. Short-tailed cats and even without tails at all. There are even cats with eyes each with different color, brown and green, brown and yellow, yellow and blue, etc.
Many cats in Asia have stubby tails. They’re born that way. It’s a genetic thing.

I know it’s crazy but I never met her in person until 3 weeks Ago! There was a scare at the airport in South Korea. The man said I couldn’t continue to the Philippines on the 9a visa.I said I could please check with your supervisor. She came over and checked the computer first then said “OK let him in”
