  2. I’m from Austria, and right now I’m visiting the Philippines for the first time. Currently in Cebu City but I will go to Dumaguete next week. While I’m staying in Dumaguete I will also go to Siquijor for a day, and before I go back to Cebu for my flight home I’m going to visit Tagbilaran and explore the Bohol area. In the future, I also want to see other places in the Philippines, like Baguio and Siargao and maybe Iloilo. And once I’ve seen all the places I wanted, I’m going to decide where I want to live in the future.

  3. Our general plan is Bali, (she is from Jakarta). I would prefer to build so we can get a place we want, not what someone else wanted. Also a home, not a villa. A villa is more a holiday house. A home has … storage, a real kitchen, a place to do your hobbies, a study or office area, that sort of thing. Modest section so we can grow our own lemons and limes, chilli, etc.

I’m Retiring to the Philippines in October or November 2024… BECAUSE of Rotator Cuff and other injuries in 28 years as a Blue Collar Civil Servant… In a Cold/Temperate Climate I have to take anti-inflammatories DAILY to keep working. In a Hot Climate meds are RARELY required. I’m planning six months in IT or Business Park in Cebu City to figure out my next steps.

  6. You’re absolutely right sir. Never put off for tomorrow what you can do today. Condo living is nice and its good that the prices are going down. A few years ago condo prices were 80 -90k but they are becoming more affordable.

  9. You have told us before about a couple of cases that you know, where the wife took the money of her husband and then gone away. Why do you want to buy a house in your wife’s name? This will consume a considerable part of your savings. I guess !!
