  2. Pretty sad that these topics have to be talked about, it’s all obvious.

Pot is illegal in every state in the US. Fed laws overrule state laws.

  3. All kinds of weird photoshop type anomalies in the pictures on this one. Hadn’t noticed that before. Are these straight from an AI source? Just curious…

  4. Hey Reekay off-topic but is it hard to get a DL in PH or when do you actually need to legally get one (SSRV?) I don’t see any videos on the process

  5. Just accept that the food in the Philippines is mostly crap, so no need to complain, if your expectations are rock bottom. Which is where they should be.

  6. All the great advice available on YouTube, yet guys will still make those mistakes.
    Some dudes never learn

  7. While walking in the mall with my oldest daughter I have gotten glares and I was approached by a security guard once. I was not offended, I was actually glad they asked me about the situation. Thankfully my wife was in the store we were near. Never put yourself in a situation where you can get in trouble with the cops.

  8. Hi Thank you for video. How do you dress for phiippiness, wearing nike shorts or nike tank top is okay. i will be in manila early 2025 to see my spanish heritage chruches.

  9. 8 minutes into this video and I’m absolutely sold on the Philippines. No pot or druggies, no slander, no public displays of idiocy (shouting), good gracious it sounds like paradise. The more I hear about this country the closer I get to moving there, if they were kind enough allow that. It is so utterly humane for everyone, not just for those who like to abuse common decency.

  10. So if the German guy got in trouble with the 17 year old, what age is safe? 18?

How are these laws applied if your girlfriend and her kids live with you? Do you risk being arrested if she leaves the kids with you to go to the store?

  11. Sadly these are all common sense rules these guys are breaking. Proving common sense is uncommon now. Always remember we expats are guests in their country. You would not put up with a guest in your house behaving in that manor, so why do it in theirs

  12. As usual, nothing but facts! And its a damn shame you would even need to have a conversation about 18 years or older. Recently i took my angel to a NICE restaurant and ordered appetizers and main dishes etc…and when they were serving the main dishes the waitresses comes over and says, sorry were out of tour dish….lol…not 10 minutes ago or when I ordered but when my brides been served…lol..AND it was a rather slow evening as far as clientele… ya juat gotta smile and move on, certainly not worth getting upset with some gal at the table.

protect act (2003): this u.s. federal law makes it a crime for american citizens or permanent residents to engage in illicit sexual conduct with minors (under 18) abroad. this includes any commercial sex acts or any sexual activity with someone under the age of 18 that would be illegal if it occurred in the united states.

extraterritorial jurisdiction: under certain circumstances, the u.s. government can prosecute its citizens for crimes committed abroad, including those involving sexual exploitation of minors.

reporting requirements: american tourists may also be subject to reporting requirements and other regulations under laws such as the international megan’s law, which aims to prevent child exploitation by notifying foreign governments of traveling sex offenders.

while the local age of consent laws apply in the country being visited, american tourists must also consider u.s. laws that can have extraterritorial effects. always ensure compliance with both local and u.s. laws to avoid severe legal consequences.

In the Philippines, the age of sexual consent is 16 years old. However, there are specific stipulations if one of the partners is below 18. According to Republic Act No. 7610, also known as the “Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act,” any adult who engages in sexual intercourse or lascivious conduct with a minor under 18 years old can face serious legal consequences, especially if the age difference between the adult and the minor is significant and can be deemed exploitative.

The Philippines has a “Romeo and Juliet” law provision to address cases where both parties are minors or one is only slightly older. This provision allows consensual sexual activity between minors who are close in age without imposing the same penalties that would apply to an adult engaging with a minor. Specifically, if the age difference between the partners is less than three years and they are in a consensual relationship, the law tends to be more lenient. This is meant to avoid criminalizing consensual relationships between young people who are close in age.

MANILA, the Philippines — Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte has signed into law a bill that raises the minimum age of sexual consent from 12 to 16, his office said on Monday, in a bid to protect minors from rape and sexual abuse. “”Adults who seduce minors shall be imprisoned. A minor is defined as someone over 16 but under 18.”” Mar 7, 2022.
