Soooo what did you do with your situation!!?? Lol..killing me!
Squatters my a$$!!!
Bullsh$t!!!
I’d give them an ounce of logic, reason and common sense ALL at once.
Y’ll can leave the easy way or the hard way.
No police involved,
No barangay involved,
No court involved,
To begin with.
I’d say it nicely ONCE!
They’re lucky the new owners were so nice!!
READ BETWEEN THE LINES!!!
07:30 Mysterious fires razing shantytowns is the preferred method of land clearing in south east asia. Leaving land unused encourages pretenders to step in and act as landlord charging rent. Good luck evicting people who paid rent that you did not receive in any way.
And people wonder why PH isn’t managing to develop at the same rate as the rest of Asia. This is just another example that really underscores the general lackadaisical attitude the society has from top to bottom.
Learnt from pinoy friends in Philippines that u have to be carefull with Squatters.. much drugs or alcohol problems or pure poverty desperation .
And the police dont do a squat and only way seems to rent personal security guards that force them away..
In the rural areas they solve it with familypower and threat with machetes..
This is how Canada is now a days.
Unfortunate, but the mindset is to attempt to get something for nothing are what squatters try to do.
The authorities also prolong and influence the squatters, because the more money they can get out of it, they will take some of it for themselves. No different, than lawyers there intentionally stalling and re-scheduling over and over, because they get paid for each appearance in court.
It’s always sad to hear this kind of story.
That really is messed up..
The laws regarding squatters are the same in Philippines as the US. Read up on the area of law regarding adverse possession or squatters rights. Needs to be settled at court level.
My brother lived in Chicago , so he had rental properties, he decided to get out of it cause it takes 90 days at least, to remove tenants , who moved in payed for one month then refused to pay afterwards, turned out they were career swatters ,
This sounds like the authorities wanted their palms scratched.
