The she gets half of ur stuff is the biggest lie. She is only entitled to 50% of the increase of assets after the marriage or things acquired during the marriage. If you had 350k in ur 401k that is till all yours. If the new value is 360K during the marriage she could get 5k of that. What could really be bad with a K1 or CR1, if she becomes a public charge after divorce you have to support her for the next 10 years!!. Most Filipina’s would rather live in the PH. Your American income will allow you to live a much higher quality of life in the PH. Also they might become westernized and westernedsized. The reason you went to the PH to avoid this in the first place.
Don’t do it.
Thanks Reekay, an interesting and very important subject. On the surface it doesn’t look great at all, but I think it’s even more important to ask honestly why those relationships didn’t work, and whether they had things in common.
For example if many / most of them:
– had large age gaps (60yr old guy and 22yr old girl)
– she was an 8/10 and he was a 3/10
– she was an ex bar girl
– he was broke / below average financially by western standards
If those were common in the majority of cases, then it’s not surprising at all that she would cheat or divorce him. Not saying it’s right, just acknowledging female nature. In fact you might even say that her staying with him under those circumstances in his western country would be an outlier. In which case, 100% better to stay in her country where you have the upper hand, otherwise it’s statistically doomed to fail once the dynamic changes radically in her favor.
It’s like saying there’s a gender wage gap. Technically yes there is, but once you dig beneath the surface, you find that it makes perfect sense.
Would love to hear your thoughts on this Reekay, perhaps in a follow up video. This is probably one the most important subjects about getting involved with a Filipina, as the consequences can be very serious.
Thanks again Reekay, love your work!
I brought my Filipina Dentist to Canada 15 years ago. All is well, except she has become too westernized. But she has stayed 100% loyal to me despite other younger guys trying to sabotage our relationship for their own benefit.
I have known hundreds of Filipina and American couples, in the US. I have actually got married to Filipinas and took them back twice. Both of my marriages and I would say 90% of every couple I know ended in divorce. The ones that seemed to last were the very religious couples. The party couples never make it. Like I said I have experienced this since the 70’s until now.
Great videos, super helpful.
My wife Filipino wife is 38 and I’m 68. We have been married 5 years now in the US. I’m pretty sure my wife is not gonna gut me like a fish even if guys hit on her. I’m hoping I’m in the successful minority.
What have you seen for the effect of the age of the man, and the existence or not of children?
Appreciate your videos
Your programs are just awesome! Your topics answer questions almost like you’re reading my mind. Agree the whole “bring her back to my country” is fraught with all kinds of potential dangers the least of which is “divorce have HALF”…..
Great video lots of temptation to bring a beautiful Filipina home to USA big age cap 50/50 at best
My Filipina wife is in her late 40s. She is mature and traditional and she doesn’t have children. In about one year, she will be with me in Canada. I would rather go to live full time with her in the Philippines but for financial reasons and family reasons I cannot do the move right now. I have faith in our relationship. Maturity is the key!
My initial thought and desire was to bring her back here to the USA. I have since changed my mind 180 degrees. Not only are the culture, government and legal system toxic here … there are also a ton of people who will see it as their “moral” responsibility to try to destroy an age gap relationship. Why pluck a beautiful flower and then plant it in toxic soil? There are more than enough bad things about the West that would justify leaving, even if there wasn’t a woman involved.
I have a friend from Vietnam saying very similar things.
Gotta learn from experience. Hopefully I can learn from other people’s experience.
You live on land. A fish lives in the sea. You love the fish so much you take it out of its natural habitat that makes it what it is, to live in a goldfish bowl beside you on land. How is that gonna work out?
It’s called “monkey branching” or FOMO in the west. Never bring a Filipina home.
Thank you for continuing to bring such great wisdom and experience to us viewers! You’ve helped me in so many ways. Much appreciated!
It’s like 2nd hand smoke can eventually make you sick if you’re around it all the time even if you don’t necessarily smoke.
She’d have to be extremely disciplined with good character traits and/or extremely God fearing for her not to be badly influenced to cheat and/or leave you for something she perceives is better.
Guys like to hit on exotic foreign women regardless if they’re married.
My opinion. Unless you are a high value man with women flocking to you in your home country, bringing a beautiful filipina back as “arm candy” or some proof that you can bag said woman after a years long drought, is just plan asking for it. But, you do you.
My wife and i decided early on that we would stay in the U.S. so we can both save money to eventually move back to the Ph and retire. Its been great so far thanks to her traditional filipina friends here and the fact shes traditional herself and is mature.
Well said, no cookie cutter to all relationships. Just trends and it’s rolling the dice in any relationship but you can increase your odds. Best to look at the trends have good communication and go with your best bet. Just like you I have no interest in taking my gal back to my home country.
One of the dumbest things you could possibly do, would be to take something good and bring it back to a bad place.
We, woomen especially, are products of our environment. What do you think happens when you take a good woman, from a good family and country, and then bring her to a toxic country with a culture centered around divorce and father-alienation?
