LOL–Ok, I’m intrigued but I don’t believe you. However, I’m planning my 3-4 month exploratory trip to the Philippines near the end of 2024 and if I think I’ll like retiring there, I’ll permanently move there after selling my house in America.
LOL! And that’s why I’m not getting married. As another vlogger said, “Love the place first, then find the girl.” I wouldn’t live with a girl, and she has to work. I won’t get married either. I wholeheartedly agree with the one-year wait for a committed relationship. You have to learn the lay of the land first.
No “gf” is going to do what you’re saying for a guy she likes in the US. Certainly now where I live

That happened to my friend 3 years ago when the DR opened up. He flew down there and these girls would come over, straighten out his apartment, cook him dinner, bang his brains out. Then cook him breakfast and hit the road.
This is music to my ears. I’ve always thought marriage is a trap, so I’ve held off on coming to the Pinas.

Wonderful post. Very clarifying. You’re right, back in the US all my contemporaries feel so lucky to finally get a date with an old woman with so many limitations and so much baggage. The guys decide to conform to whatever she wants which is very little. One date a month is common. Guys have to pay and do all the carpentry around her home. I have always said NO WAY! I slap heat YouTubers and friends define dating in the Phillipines as you defined – I need to marry. To myself I believe I can have what I want. At the same time I’m a responsible, respectful, honest, caring person. The times I have been there I experienced what you mentioned about the pressure. All I did was say NO thank you. Sometimes I needed to repeat that. I do plan to stay monogamous and enjoy my time dating and exploring the areas and SE Asian countries. Here’s one thing I am good at looking for. I look for emotional instability, addictions, psychopathic thinking, and negative outside influences. I was ann mentor for 35 years and I’m psychologically minded. Those give me insights to either keep dating someone or not to. I also agree with the openness in the Phillipines. I’m from Bay Area. The Bay Area is nothing compared to the Phillipines. Thanks again, Reeky. It would be great to see a video about Sexually Transmitted Diseases. Are girls open to being tested there? I know girls often don’t tell the truth about the partners they have been with. Maybe even some girls say they are a virgin when they are not, I don’t know. Condoms don’t always protect us against everything. What other info is unique to the Philippines on this topic? I am sure other things could go into a video. Perhaps you have already done a video on this. I know it’s not something people like to think about but maybe it’s not talked about enough. Take care!
