  2. All I dream of is having enough money to pay my bills and money to be able to retire on. But this virus has took it all away from me.

Now I’ve worked in Hollywood and met some famous actors and when you talk to them one-on-one, you’ll see they are just regular people who just happen to have a really cool job that pays them millions of dollars. Other than that, they’re just like the rest of us. Most of them handle the fame pretty well and keep their heads on straight but a tragic number of them can’t handle it and end up hooked on drugs, alcohol, etc. and end up ruined or dead. Having seen what they deal with, I agree with one of the other responders…I’d rather be quietly successful. Alot less stress.

  5. That’s your opinion, I think you been on social media to long (No disrespect, I always like to keep it real). There are thousands of multi millionaires, people of great success and many never hear there name, they keep to themselves and do not show off. I believe people want to stay relevant, some like Louis Armstrong stayed relevant for 5 decades and never changed his style.

      they are smart enough to avoid fame. they prefer to maintain their anonymity.

Fire fighters, EMT’s, Medical staff, Search and Rescue, Animal rescue people, and those who help the needy when they themselves have little are the the true salt of the Earth and are the people I admire in life.They do not get the recognition they deserve and they certainly don’t ask for it.   10. Culture is wrong telling us that what matters in life is fame, power, material wealth. Just look at many celebrities and billionaires who took their own lives because of loneliness/depression, feelings of unconnected ness like Robin Williams, Kate Spade, Hsieh and many more. “Man does not live by bread alone but by every word that comes from God”.

  11. I love this intro music since “Odyssey 2001” from Stanley Kubrick. In a Movie Theater curved screen and sitting in right distance, almost 80% of my field of view was filled and most important, in the middle of the screen. Perfect.
    Your topic is amazing, some of the mentioned Famous are Outstanding. Not because i like some more than others. I know that they are more famous which can hide their private life the others are just addicted to being VIP (my own experienced translation for: Very Impotent Person, not related to sex). These are only “side dish for the parasites “. And you are right: The price you have to pay is high. For the most way to high.
    The only happy guy i know of is/was: Charlie Chaplin

    1. @Reekay’s LifeBeyondTheSea You made me somewhat envy, which isn’t included or part of my character 🙂 Yes, i totally agree with you. i saw all above mentioned movies. Kubrick was/is a true VIP (not like in the other comment mentioned one). Funny is that George Lucas is influenced too. In Star Wars as his Imperial “Stardestroyer” come sat the topscreen into view. 10 years. and i thought the whole time you’re a little older than me. I’m 58 and 3 days before lockdown here in France i had the purpose to fly first to Thailand, 3-6 months stop and than to retire in the Pillipines. You mentioned Cebu as starting point in one of your videos, but now i see it more realistic not before `25. Incl. Vaccination. This virus attacks preferred the brain. It prefers the short-cut though the nose to the smelling-cells, medical examiner with electron microscope investigations. Keep your Face mask at your mouth and nose and Vi too. Fell free to share and don’t feed this pet, it WILL bite. 🙂

    2. the first time(s) i saw, “2001: A Space Odyssey” was when i was about 10 years old. saw it on a matinee twice in a row. years later i read the book, and also read, “2010: The Year We Make Contact”. a great follow-up film. kubrick also directed ‘the shining’, ‘a clockwork orange’, ‘full metal jacket’, even one of the 007 movies. very subtle changes he introduced to directing, a very interesting person.

    1. Verse 10 reminds me of the Philippine people. Always smiling, even through the pain, putting on a happy face, loving each other despite a constant struggle and having little, but love and hope for each other.. God Bless.

  18. Interesting. If you compare famous people to who are the heros in our life I don’t think the names will match up.

    1. I think it says more about society’s values or rather lack thereof. Entertainers famous? Not to me. Famous to me is someone who has made a true advancement for all humanity.

    2. very true. i do admire the way some actors handle fame, such as keanu reeves, harrison ford. but it’s people like my parents and a handful of good teachers, mentors, writers that have given me much higher aspirations during my life.

  19. It’s nice to be successful but I sure as heck wouldn’t want to be famous. Not sure about you guys but I would find it annoying when everyone I walk past want to take picture of me and with me.
