It always amazes me the number of people that believe in the Christian God but don’t believe in the Devel.. Even though not all people in the US believe in the Christian God they almost all are Christian like. Meaning they have Christian morals. Just about all people believe that there is good & evil in the world. I am not telling anyone what to believe.

One of the biggest mistakes we can make in life is to think everyone thinks like us or should thanks for sharing
If you ponder the size and complexity of the Universe, you can see that the earth is but a grain of sand on all the accumulated beaches of the world. If that is so and a God exists and created everything why would he even care about what exists on this one speck of sand. Given that is God exists and there is a heaven and hell then, I surmise that this is hell. Think of all the pain, suffering and disadvantage that exists. If you are speaking of good and evil, then it is apparent that evil exists only because of money and the human species desire to accumulate it and acquire material objects. This is what leads to the inequalities and suffering in life. Natural selection dictates that the strong survive but in the human species it is the smart that survives since they can manipulate the system and have things like police and lawyers to protect them when injustice is done to the masses. I would love to have an extended conversation with you on this and hear your point of views.

Theodicy, or the problem of evil, is an inescapable issue for believers. The problem of evil is the question of how to reconcile the existence of evil and suffering with an omnipotent, omnibenevolent God. The Greek philosopher Epicurus, as attributed and made popular by David Hume, puts it: “Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then from whence comes evil?”

THE FIRST MURDER WAS COMMITTED BY A RELIGIONIST OF THE DO-IT-YOURSELF KIND WHEN CAIN KILLED ABEL–a man who was trusting God–the beginning of the persecution of the True Church by the False Church. Cain was religious, very religious, and he was trying very hard to save himself in his own way, even sacrificing to God and claiming to worship God, and doing his best to ask God to help him earn his own Salvation–but his best wasn’t good enough! His way was not God’s way! It was the way of all false religions. They are all dependent upon self-righteousness and their own way! Most of them claim to be worshipping God and seeking a little help from Him to make it, but working so hard to earn it they figure they deserve it, with or without His help, and are quite offended if He doesn’t seem to appreciate their goodness!

the problem as I see it is that there are no universal definitions of good or evil.. what one person/culture sees as good, another will not.. and there are tons of shades of grey inside those differences. Until such time as you can accurately define what something is, there will not be agreement on it.

The worst are the ones who take advantage of the vulnerable.
The enigma of evil….. Some of the greatest thinkers of decades gone by were deists. They believed the creator abandoned his creation (at least for a time) to allow nature take its course. There is beauty to behold and also the ugliness of evil that seemingly goes on unhindered by the supreme architect of the universe.
They only seem to get away with it right up until Judgement Day: John 5:28-29, Revelation 20:11-15, Acts: 17:30-31, Acts 4:12.
