  2. Go Go Henry and Vi… you doing what others dream of… , and as always ,high quality here .. keep it up…

  3. im thinking this video speaks for itself , out to all trolls… she is very happy with him…. no doubt about it… are youre Lady not happy with you? that is a better question right 🙂

    1. @Reekay’s LifeBeyondTheSea It seems like the word is full of this people who get irretated towards you if you have it good with youre Girl, or make to much money… it seems like we in west have the same amount of crab metallity , ast they can have in Phillipines.. 🙂

    2. yes. this stupid idea they try to push that she is somehow with me against her will is pure low-level gossip.

  4. Is vee have sister?i think you find a good filipina partner, theirs a lot a good women in the visaya region they are mostly province girl,i wish i can find a nice pilipina women next time i return to the philippines.

    1. Hello, Yes i have sister but she already had partner, Good luck to you sir. God bless you

  5. Good to hear that you and Vee are doing better than most. But I’m wondering, why all the discussion about babies… It was the way you ended you last relationship. You know there is no guarantee that there will be no problems in life. Agreement with her now is about all you can hope for.

Just don’t forget to give her all your Love forever … It’s all you can do.

    1. I only know of one girl that didn’t want a baby and that’s because of infertility. You’re not in California, and their is a difference in culture. That’s a procreation tool you got there, not a toy.

She is willing to not have a baby now. That’s about all the guarantee you can expect.

    2. the reason is that ‘most’ filipinas do want a baby. but not all. and too many people assume ‘all’ do.

  6. Filapenas are expected to have kids, period, it’s the culture . A Filam baby is especially coveted. I hope it works out for you both. There is a lot of unsaid pressure from family or said in Bisaya/Tagalog so you don’t catch it .

    1. one perspective on life i have shared with her is that she can chart her own course. she does not need to live as others ‘expect’ her to. what other people expect out of me is not how i make my decisions in life. nor will it be for her.

  7. I’m sure I will look you up and I will meet you in person I will become very good friends I’m sure if that

  8. I am also a 53-year old man was married twice on one day I will be coming to the Philippines

  9. You know I really enjoy your Channel I think you’re a cool guy but that part about you not wanting to give up a baby because you just don’t want it that’s a little bit selfish you know my feelings for you is strong Siri like you a lot and you put her in a position where she had to make a choice she will regret it later on in life and you know that what you doing a great job I appreciate your work

    1. not selfish at all. she understands that at any time she is free to find someone else to have a baby and relationship with. she is not obligated to stay with me at all. she has full freedom to choose the life she wants.. with or without kids.

  10. U two look good together reekay. Philippines is the best. What is good to live somewhere that can not understand the language?!!!!

  11. You inspire me, I’m planning on settling down in Davao with my LDR I just hope I like the city & have Cebu as a back up

  12. Being together for that long 24/7, is a good test of a relationship that many wouldn’t survive. Anyone who has doubts about the two of you needs to consider how their relationship would cope with that. Live for the now, worry about long term later. Filipinas tend to not look too far ahead anyway. It’s good to see you both so happy.

    1. hello, Good morning to you there. Thank You so much for your kindness, God bless you

  13. You make a very nice couple Henry and Vi. I think you should go for it regarding the childrens books, if you can write stories easily Henry and Vi is good with illustrations, why not go for it. I have been told I could be a children’s book illustrator, but can’t write stories lol. You have both. All the very best to you both and God Bless from NZ.

    1. @Reekay’s LifeBeyondTheSea Sounds good 🙂 By the way there are many free and very helpful tutorials on you tube sketching, painting etc, of very good quality, and free to watch if Vi is interested. All the very best to you both.

    2. thanks. she wants to improve her consistency in sketching. until now she hasn’t always had the supplies to practice. but eventually it’ll be a fun project for the both of us.

  14. Very nice interview. So glad you two are happy. The people giving you thumbs down are either those who were scammed and now hate women, or those who don’t understand different cultures. So many people who judge have never lived in another country for any length of time. Doing so for several years really changes one’s perspective on life in general. This is a happy couple, who are accepted in her culture and country. If Vi and her parents are happy, what’s the issue?

    1. Big check, they don’t have Morals in their life, They show that my bf is better than them a loser.

    2. thanks. yes, very true. normal people don’t have an issue with other people’s happiness.

  15. Wherever he goes I will go with him……..she says with a big smile…….very sweet.

    1. henry is my birth name. but in calif, since my previous wife was from mexico, i was always known as, ‘enrique’. (henry, in spanish) it later became shortened to my dad’s nickname (also enrique).. to rique.. which is pronounced, ‘reekay’ (phonetically).

  16. Talking from experience (living 20 years in the PI) a filipina will always tell you what you want to hear. Best believe that your filipina will have a baby (even by another man) and then accuse you of being the father to financially support her kid. Dont think for a moment that she is okay with not having a baby. Ive seen this situation play out a hundred times.

    1. @Guido DeMaio their mind has been made up since they came into this world. They are going to have babies one way or another. Its part of the Filipino culture to always tell you what you want to hear, her agreeing to not have children is like a crack addict telling you that he wont do crack.

    2. @Reekay’s LifeBeyondTheSea If she turns up pregnant and you have a vasectomy, that’s a deal breaker, they could always change their mind about wanting a baby, who knows what the future holds.

    3. vi and i have already had this discussion several times. i’ve made it very clear to her that ‘if’ she changes her mind, she is free to leave the relationship at any time and find someone else to have a baby. and, just for good measure, also informed her that ‘if’ she tried to have a baby outside of our relationship, that would end everything and she’d need to rely on whatever man she got involved with.

so, unlike most men who do not articulate on this topic with their filipina, i’ve not neglected this. and the end-result is that vi has zero motive to ‘sneak-in’ a baby. she is free to leave and pursue that any time she wants. but it would be the end of our relationship. she understands this and is fine with it.

  17. Hello Reekay, and how are you and vi doing today? My question is, I want to get the “legal capacity to contract marriage” but as of the covid-19 I dont know if anybody is allowing that. Do you know how i can get that document without having to go to Manila or Cebu, cz there is a service here in Dumaguate that told us we can get the document by email! Can you help me with that or can you find out if that is possible? Please let me know, thank you so so much Reekay!!!

    1. i don’t have any info on how to do that. maybe someone else here may know. ??

  18. 2021 is the beginning of Age of Aquarius. We are entering a new era. Jupiter and Saturn together will be transmitting to Aquarius (air sign) on December 21, 2020. They’ll be there for next 20 years. Then they’ll be transmitting to Gemini (air sign) on December 2039. Then transmitting to libra (another air sign) for another 20 years. Then back to Aquarius for another 20 years. Jupiter and Saturn will stay in air sign for the next 200 years.

So my dear fellow Aquarians, we are going to rule the world.

    1. hello, Good evening Thank You so much for your kindness to tell as about sign. God bless you

  19. Lovely couple. You have a good one, i think being locked down together has done your relationship well. How do you think things would of went under non lockdown conditions?

    1. pretty much would have gone the same. but with more traveling, which is what we were doing before covid hit after we got to cebu.

  20. You two look good together. Hopefully, Vi’s attitude towards having babies won’t change in a few years. The Filipina Pea titled one of her videos “Our Children Our Money Makers”. It’s something many in the West don’t understand or anticipate. You are lucky, rare find.

    1. @Reekay’s LifeBeyondTheSea Great attitude. Don’t let the jealous hecklers get in your way. It’s not easy to find compatibility. Peace.

    2. life is fluid. i totally accept that. ‘if’ she later wants a baby, she is free to do so with someone else. and i’d wish her the best for her life. until then, we are happy with each other and life is good. 🙂

  21. There are fine girls out there who never married & who speak/understand English well, college educated, employed & mid 30’s on up. Most may have a child or two but many will give it all at this stage of there life for a good man regardless of age . The experience/maturity level & always being on the same page usually exists & this peace of mind is just important to me…..

    1. yes. too many (especially those who have never been to the ph)… make grand assumptions they think apply to ‘all’ filipinas.

but life is a spectrum and people (filipinas) have many different priorities. it’s worthy of eye-rolling any time someone says, “ALL filipinas want a baby.” or, “ALL filipinas want to marry a foreigner.” it’s simply not true.

  22. Very Interesting vlog. It isn’t that she doesn’t want a baby just it was more important for her to be with you than have one. That makes a lot of sense. My GF hasn’t lived near her family for years even before I came here. She was scared of my English when I first got here. We have been together night & day since. She said when she around Filipinos now she has trouble speaking Bisaya.

  23. Question:
As you are helping her with English, is she teaching you her native language?

  24. Being honest and consistent with each other is important, I will have similar things in mind when I get there so its cool to find someone that can be honest and on the same page. Vi seems like a winner and I would also not want to bring anyone to US or other country.

  25. Yeah Philippines is your only option. I would just say the American “New South” is a very liveable place. I an not native here but the place definitely has a lot going for it.

  26. She’s so cute. When I met my wife, she only knew two English words; ‘yes’ and ‘no’. Now she speaks better English than me.

  27. Yeah my girlfriend is from and living in the Philippines and I’m from the USA and my girlfriend said she wouldn’t want to leave her country for a permanent residence and I can respect that and I understand her feeling so I said to her when I retire I will move to the Philippines

    1. If I ever get there and meet anyone, the assumption will be that we’ll live in the Philippines.

However, after seeing how badly people were locked down there, I may ask my future wife (and any kids involved) to have a passport in case things get so bad again that I’d want to escape back to the US.
