About Me.. In 2011 I made the decision to move to the Philippines within a year. Since 2012 I’ve been traveling through various islands of the Philippines as a full-time Expat. (Mactan, Bohol, Panglao, Moalboal, Dumaguete, Bacong, Boracay, Cebu) I recently spent the year living in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Share with me here my ongoing adventures of life in the Philippines. Dating, vlogging, cooking, traveling and sharing the information with you needed to make your own plans for living as a full-time expat in Southeast Asia.

  2. the end result is the same,,,,the wealthy or middle class filipina won’t need your money but would expect you to provide her with all the accessories she’s used to having as a well to do daughter of a well to do family,,,,as for the poor filipina she will expect you to spend money on her and her family, so the end result will be the same,,,,u will be spending money either way

  3. It’s the individual and I do think it could be problematic with the transition. What I mean is a poor girl that is swept off her feet and provided a lifestyle that is unimaginable to her all at once. Like you said it’s character that means everything but many men never spend the time to find out her true colors or perhaps her hidden agenda. A financially secure Filipina may not have the transitional shock but she may have higher expectations.

  4. I would be worried about the persona of the family she is attached to. This is the one thing I focus on when I introduce my longest term friends to Filipinas

  5. I’m curious about something I’m 63 years old Caucasian man and I was born with no left hand is there anything in the Philippines or there culture that would detour a good Filipina woman from being with me because of that

  6. I agree 100%, good chatter is not based on income. Look at some of the rich Americans who are in federal prisons right now for breaking the law. Now in the US, the crime rate is higher in poorer areas, but that is the US.

  7. my first filipina g/f, that i moved to the ph for back in 2012 was very wealthy. not middle class, but wealthy enough to own 3 homes in the Beverly Hills section of Cebu, a 4 bdrm home in California, and a Mercedes. (she owned much more than that, her money.. not from any expat. she flipped houses in the PH.)

this idea that filipinas with money won’t date expats doesn’t hold water. they won’t date some drunken slob. but like any other woman, they are attracted to a man with purpose.

  8. Yup you get good and bad character types across all social classes. When it comes to dating it’s best to study up on the red flags of a bad relationship rather than the financial aspects.

  9. I would agree with you about being wealthy does not make you a better person period with the exception of Barry Jordan LOL he’s a horrible poor person and he would be a horrible wealthy person
