  2. Can’t wait to retire and watch movies in the philippines..soon bro soon!

  3. Hahaha. Hollywood might have shut down but there is no shortage of fiction film making. Just turn the channel to FOX News, CNN, NBC, ABC, MSNBC, etc “news” / infotainment. There’s whatever genre you want, covid comedy, covid horror, racist sitcoms, rioting drama. The spirit of Hollywood lives on in the nightly news and the 24 hour news recycle

  4. I’m a set medic in television and feature films. New Hollywood at least for the last 10 years has been in Atlanta Georgia. 80% of every feature film and television show in America is made here maybe 400 productions per year . We haven’t had a production since before St. Patrick’s Day in March. We were supposed to start back up in the beginning of July, but the COVID Crap has pushed everything to maybe mid August or September.

  5. Teekay, I am an Executive Producer, with homes in Holmby Hills, Star Island, Florida, New Zealand and Ontario, Canada. We have made 7 Films since Feb through July 18th. In 26 days, we begin again. DR.JIM J.J. LINN M.D.

  6. You forgot to tell the real story about Hollywood. About the child trafficking and ungodly evil things that Hollywood has been involved in. Hollywood is done! And not because of the virus! Fact! Do your homework!

  7. Marvel movies are the best movies out there being made and will be in the future

  8. Hollywood is a cesspool of pedos and satanic rituals. It’s a propaganda farm used to mind control and social engineer populations. Don’t take my word for it, ask Mel Gibson. Reekay may dismiss this as conspiracy theory but he knows very little about this subject, i can assure u .

  9. After most of them are rounded up and arrested for crimes against humanity, there will be room for new talent to be making movies.

  10. My daughter has a friend who’s busy doing voice over work on animated films in LA and has been working and doing well. Apparently the work on animated films has been carrying on as normal during this virus situation! For me I’am not a fan of major blockbuster films all the original and quality films are on Netflix etc, like Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, Ozark, it’s been a while since there’s been a film worth seeing in a movie theatre imo. Technicolor has been around since the 1920’s and there were many great films produced in Technicolor up to the 1950’s. For example The Wizard of Oz was made in 1939 in Technicolor!

  11. The French used to be good at knocking out good, original movies. My all-time favourite movie would be Betty Blue (37° 2 le Matin), essentially a raw romance movie. The Bell of the ball is Beatrice Dalle, a truly stunning French beauty, and as one of my work colleagues once said, the movie rates as the best opening scene ever. The only setback for many is its an English subtitled film.
The Director’s Cut is the one to watch, and this cut follows the original novel to the letter. I’ve never been able to find a better movie. It just blew my mind. And as a bonus, it has a masterpiece of an original soundtrack. Make sure you have enough popcorn and tissues.

  12. Hollywood with the likes of convicted rapist Harvey Weinstein, who raped women his entire career spanning decades, is nothing but J-wish propaganda.

  13. Mindless Entertainment is so correct. Hey Reekay, have you and/or V seen “The Last Christmas” made in 2019? I think you would appreciate it if you guys haven’t see it yet. Been going back and searching for some decade or two or three older movies that I never got a chance to see and wow, they are great. Movies that either never made it to the big screen or I was just too busy working to watch at the time.

  14. Apparently, humanity is transitioning from possessions to subscriptions. People used to own DVDs, now they pay for a streaming service. We used to own CDs, now people pay for Spotify. In the future, not many people will own cars, they’ll just order a self-driving robot-car via an app to take them somewhere. Ownership of all kinds of things may begin to decline fairly rapidly. I don’t mind it, it would be much less wasteful. I own a car, but I calculated that it just stands there, doing nothing, 99.3% of the time. Pretty wasteful if you think about it. If we all used robot cars and subscriptions, there would be so much less waste. Books will be slower to transition to screens, since people seem to prefer holding paper in their hands, but eventually that’s another thing that will cut down on trees being… cut down. Heh. Less and less possessions, staying more mobile, not a bad thing!

  15. I like movies that have good stories and great acting. I’m not that into special effects type movies.I just saw “Eastern Promises” for the first time…I’ll likely watch it again..Very good! And yesterday saw “A History of Violence” Wow! Same Cronenberg/Mortensen Director/Actor Duo ….Check it out I’m currently watching “Narcos” on Netflix …Great!

  16. Having worked in and off of the industry for 30 years, I don’t think you will be seeing the major stars making 20 million a movie anymore. All of my actor friends are unemployed. Only a small percentage of actors make a full time living from it since you are always unemployed between auditions. There are 160,000 members of SAG. I estimate maybe 1% of SAG actors make a comfortable living in the entertainment industry over a full time lifespan. The support for a movies set employs even more than the number of actors if you take out the background workers.

  17. Video game industry makes more money than movies, social media, tourism, traveling and restaurants combined

  18. Real estate, car sales, movie making….
    Quality and substance mean zero….
“It’s all about getting asses in the seats…”
