patreon is a subscription for exclusive content, similar to the netflix arrangement. so there is an exchange of money for content.
Love you Reekay. Always have learned a lot from you, and you were my biggest inspiration to visit the Philippines. One thing… please don’t let your politics ever show. People like myself sometimes get disappointed by your political views
There is a bigger issue here. You provide free value. You have provide countless free videos that are full on information that has value. You offer a product via affiliate link (and disclose that you will be paid if they use it) not only because you will be paid but because it will help them in their life or business you. I have used and using this model with small businesses. I have built an email list by providing free video packages and then sent out free information. Once in a while I will suggested a product that I have used that I feel will be helpful. And that product has an affiliate link where I will get paid. But I always feel I provide tremendous value.
Great video Henry and I agree with any one of us to pay or not for services or products rendered. It is ur own choices we each make and not for trolls to become involved in our decisions. Take care!
The trolls I’ve seen are from jealous, immature and ignorant people. Ignore the the trolls. But since you didn’t ask my opinion on something, I’m going to give it to you anyway. You’ve done a great job of building your brand. Stay away from politics. Kind of like religion. Gio is good at deflecting political questions. But it’s your brand not mine, so please take my suggestion in the spirit intended. Keep up good your good work.
I like the channels that are open about their links leading to an affiliate kickback. But there are some channels I feel are just trying to link anything and everything not really in the best interest of their viewers and not being open about them being affiliate links. I do think channels can start to feel over monetized and less attractive to a viewer. When they start providing less information and entertainment and too much pumping affiliate links, services or memberships. I think there is a balance. I can only think of one travel blogger that really has an ebeggar feel to the channel (non PI blogger). I also am not a fan of the Teespring product links and think they provide a garbage Tshirt. I bought one trying to support a motorcycle travel channel and couldn’t even wear it after one wash when shrunk down to child size.
Economics 101! Supply and demand, not begging at all. Offering a product and/or service for a like exchange of money, time or service in return. Reekay, just an observation, but I do believe your views and new subs are being held back by YT.

Everyone has the free will to start a business and try to make money, nothing wrong with that. If a person has alot to offer they will build a following and make money . There’s also talk about, you don’t need to pay for any info since it’s all available online for free which is correct. Which is correct if you want to spend countless hours searching through loads of info to find what your looking for to save $2 or $3 dollars, seems kind of silly. Some may like the way one person explains things, they might break things down in more detail making it easier to understand the info and use the info, so now you’d spend hours looking over loads of info that is not explained very well. If you find a person who breaks the info down very well for you, then paying a very small amount makes way more sense.

You’re so right Reekay there is a huge difference. Some people just try and bring others down who are making a go from YouTube.

Nothing wrong with trying to be a good businessman and entrepreneur and look for other ways to Branch out your business. I learned a long time ago even before the internet was really getting going about Target marketing . About advertising and marketing to a target market that would have a much higher chance of being interested in your product. That’s a great thing about YouTube . You can advertise specific products and services to a specific market with very low advertising costs. Nobody’s forcing them to buy it if they don’t like it.
Yep, people have the right to buy the product or not buy it. Opposed to people setting up fake, fraudelent Charities. This is gonna trigger a view people, LOL. They know who they are. Some are hiding deep in the PI Jungle.
