I am three years into this process and it is still not complete. Have a good attorney but a lot depends on the court that it is filed in. Used to be one could file where the judge was more lenient or the court was not busy but that is no longer the case, as they ask for proof of residence. An annulment requires (among other things) several court hearings - with the petitioner, the respondent, a witness to the marriage, etc. There are also things like psychologicl evaluations that are required to be presented to the court. We have encountered many delays and cancelled hearings. Each time it throws you back 5-6 months. So any way you look at it, it's a long, tedious process.
