  1. this covid has really messed up my sleep. I started doing breathing exercises (inhale thru left nostril, exhale thru right nostrile) and that has helped a lot.

  2. Some of the scenes in “The Mule” was shot in Acton, California. I was able to meet Mr Eastwood during the breaks. I happened to be living up the street and was having coffee in the cafe where the movie was shot. He’s a nice man to me.

  3. It’s funny, ever since moving to Thailand I have the same crazy sleep patterns as you. I just work when I’m up and sleep when I’m tired enough. If I’m not sleepy til dawn, I just read online or do something creative. It’s just life. Thailand Paul

    1. @Reekay’s LifeBeyondTheSea I usually just ride the sleep/wake rhythyms, but if I need a sleep booster, Tylenol seems to do it.

    2. it’s still going on. i wake up after 5 or 6 hours. force myself to try and continue sleeping. sometimes i’ll take a benedryl middle of the night, that helps.

  4. Im 38 going through the sleep thing, at 58 I will be down to 3 hours a night maybe. I like Clint Eastwood in the mule, he made no attempt to seem less old, it actually works well.

    1. i’ve read up on it. most anyone who is a bit overweight has fatty liver to some extent. but, not been tested for it personally. i would not be surprised if it’s a factor.

  9. Sleep schedule: yes, I have experienced the same thing in the last 12 months. To bed at midnight and awake at 6-7am .

  10. I take about 3 to 4 showers per day just to stay cool and fresh lol. But I do love the nights in philippines more than the day.

  11. Years ago I had the same erratic sleep pattern which was downright exhausting most days. I finally visited our family physician and found that his family members experienced a similar sleep pattern. So he prescribed a very effective med and costs peanuts. The product is generic and active ingredient is Hydroxyzine Hydrochloride 25 mg I weigh 80 kg and take 1 1/2 tablet per night 1 hour before I go to bed. Sleep like a baby, no hangover very natural sleep. This has been my solution to a sound sleep for over 25 years.

    1. @Reekay’s LifeBeyondTheSea you’re welcome, all the best, no doubt it will work for you, just gotta play with the dosage. Maybe start with 1 1/2 tabs and adjust from there. 25 years experience speaking here lol

    3. @Reekay’s LifeBeyondTheSea I live in Phuket and buy the generic made in Thailand brand “Dormirax 25 made by Burapha, no doubt you will find a generic brand there. Cost one hundred tabs about 3 dollars here.

    4. @Bill White do you know a retail name for it? if not i can ask for Hydroxyzine Hydrochloride 25 mg at the pharmacy.

      the benadryl also came in 25mg. with 2, i still felt sleepy the next day, but with just one not so much.

      Diphenhydramine is the active ingredient in Benadryl which is a different to the product name I mentioned. Benadryl can also leave a person with a hangover. The product I use leaves you refreshed in the morning. Depending on body weight a heavier person may need 2 tabs.

  15. Take a look at President Nixon’s price wage and price controls during the 1970’s. Farmers killed off their chickens/pigs etc instead of selling them under what the farmer had put into raising them.

  21. Best to buy a house in a subdivision. As you know the developer made sure the property title is clean before he bought the land. I bought my house from Primary Homes. They have a rent to own plan. If you are over 60 years old the banks here will not loan you money. They think you will not be able to work or live long enough to pay it off. With rent to own there is no credit check, no income verification and no age discrimination. 20% down, sign and go. Easy! The contract is structured like a loan with 10 or 15 years to pay. They hold the title until it is paid for. If you want to sell the house you sell the contract. The contract is assumable for a $600 fee.

  22. The age of consent here in the Philippines was 12 years old. I was shocked when I learned that. They just have raised it up to 16 years old.

    1. This article, attached, explains the age of consent in the Philippines. The news article I recently read did not go into detail. In Western countries age of consent is exactly that. However in the Philippines it is a complicated matter. This article explains why it was 12 yrs old in first place.     2. @Reekay’s LifeBeyondTheSea It’s wrong again. According to the Philippine Constitution, no parents can give consent to marriage of an underage child, that’s below 18. The parents can be charged criminally if they allow their underage kids to marry. For persons age between 18 and 21 wanting to marry, consent from parents should be secured first before they can marry. Meaning, if parents consent is absent during the marriage, the marriage can be declared illegal by parents of either party. What is pending in Congress now is the proposal by some lawmakers to lower the age of kids to 12 on his liability to the crime he committed, from the present 15 years old. Right now, if the kid is 15 years old and below and committed a crime, he is not criminally liable. He can only be kept in a rehabilitation center but not jailed.

    3. the age of consent is not for sex with foreigners. it is the age of consent for 2 filipinos for marriage, with parental approval.

    4. That’s totally wrong. The age of consent here is 18. No one below 18 can marry, drive or vote. You misinterpreted the news around here. The 12 years is the subject in the debate in Congress whether the children committing crime will be legally charged or face trial in the court. That’s why if you marry a person below 18, you’ll face child abuse or (if have sex with him/her) you’ll face sex charges such as rape. If you take the child away from his/her hometown without the parents’ consent, you’ll be charged of kidnapping or trafficking.

  23. I am the same way with sleeping. 5 hrs, and I am up. If I end up taking an afternoon nap I am up for the night. I don’t even have a phone right now I gave it to Nenengs youngest daughter who is in online school. I should get another one I have never liked them I use a Desktop all the time.

Im not a fan of vaccines because I have learned that vaccines are mimicking a natural function of the immune system the way it activates its system to fight any viruses or bacterias that enters the body. The immune system in a balance state will do its work of producing antibodies for that specific pathogen with no allergies and side effects. Its better to boost the immune system rather than artificially instigating the immune system to do its work.

    1. The Europeans wiped out scores of American indians with diseases also we come a long way vaccinated polio, small pox etc

    2. So are you saying that in the cases of mumps, polio, measles and/or diphtheria…should we stop vaccines that have eliminated these ailments, with the hope that via herd immunity it would naturally discontinue the morbidity thereof?

  28. The body has its own way of whats ideal for your body systems. You are the one choosing and training your mindset and the body just follows. Where your mind goes the body follows. All humans have routine etched in their DNA only the ones six feet below the ground does not have routine.

  38. I’ve had to stay awake from midnight, napped at 10-11 am … and then repeated that until I was waking up at 4 am .. pushing my body until I’m waking up at about 6 am .. and try to keep that balance.
